“There are three shops here in Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor. The original One Stop, Posh Co-op and this Coop. This is the in-between one. In other words, no fancy stuff, your basic sun-dries and a decent level of customer service. It also has a post office. If it lacks anything at all it would be that they need to bring back the cash point. Having a local cash point in an area with little else is a real boost. Fairly well stocked shop. Sadly, it's in the catchment area for the local pylon which regularly cuts out so it's prone to power cuts.Regards accessibility this and the middle posh one are usually flawless for access. Occasionally they put a display up near the door that might block wheelchair access but they will usually move it if they see you are struggling.”

“I must say the staff here are amazing, friendly and amiable no matter who's working, they even do free treats of hot chocolate and sweets for the children at Halloween, other shops should take note. Keep up the brilliant work!”

“Really nice people and great service but who sets the price? At £1.45 for diesel that is a massive 10p more per litre than the national average and 12p more per litre than nearby towns!”

“Top feature of the village! Good source of staples, post office is so convenient and the volunteer staff are always cheerful!Good source of hyper local knowledge and books. Post office can be very busy at peak times with people returning items from eBay Amazon etc.Shop has a good range of ingredients and ready to eat meals. Wine and beer is sold along with the usual milk and ice lollies!Always makes me smile as I walk past when there's a new display in the window too.”

“Visited the store for Tesco Caramel ice cream. Non on the shelf. I approached an assistant for help. Ella checked, then checked in the stockroom fridge just in case you had supplies. Sadly none. While I was at the till point she checked and advised that the Tesco Oxford Road Abingdon has some in stock. I thanked her. Well done Ella, excellent customer service.”

“The staff smiled and seemed helpful. Whilst it has a limited range being a small store they seem to have the convenient products I need.

My only concern was that the bananas had a lot of flies swarming around them which is not pleasant and must be addressed.”

“Good selection of foodstuffs. More expensive than supermarkets but good quality food. Post Office attached to business is an asset. Cash from UK banks can be withdrawn inside building only from Post Office. Excellent Co-op staff during normal daytime working hours.”

“This is a village shop as village shops should be - friendly, helpful, tiny - but with a surprising range and selection. If you need it, they probably have it, somewhere! Clifton Hampden Stores is a family run business with a small Post Office counter, they stock cards and gifts as well as all the essential grocery items you'd expect, fantastic cakes and locally made jewellery. They also do Ecover refills if you take in your empties. I discovered recently that they offer a dry cleaning service at very competitive rates too. The owners, Emma & Glenn, are very friendly and welcoming, as are the other staff, and I'm sure many of us pop in as much for a chat and to see a friendly face as to actually buy anything.”

“Amazing village shop. The staff are great. The stock is good. A lovely place to get your staples and more. Good prices.Normally for me quite quick to get in and pay. Yes it does get busy. But that’s the same with any shop. I always receive top notch customer service. Nothing is ever to much for the staff here. Always happy to help. Thank you to the staff that work here for always wanting to help. ❤️”

“The shelves are already showing the signs of Brexit with slightly less stock on the shelves but it's hardly noticeable. Nice staff. Friendly staff. The options of meats, and almost no fish other than a couple of very small salmon steaks is disappointing. I wish it was better especially coming up to Christmas. All in all a good small shop.”

“Just about to check out from our two night stay. All in all very good - fast efficient check in, usual clean and tidy room etc. The room was very large compared to some other PI's We have stayed in. If anything negative to highlight was perhaps some of the corridors need a bit of TLC - Just looked a bit worn from foot traffic and woodwork hit by suitcases etc. That aside all was good - I'll leave a separate review for the adjoining Beefeater restaurant.”

“There are loads of choices in here! The "Ham and Cheese Roll's" are anazing! The cheese is smoked, and it also has another layer of cheese, similar to Primula Cheese Spread! It's not too much cheese either, it's delicious!! The bread ALWAYS tastes fresh and nice and doughy too! It's my go-to whenever I can get to One-Stop!”

“The chicken noodles they do here are so similar to what you'd get from a chinese restaurant! And the chicken in it is so very moist and tender!! Also, the dried mango packets, for £2, from here are a great price and delicious!”
