My local store, staff very friendly, apart from one bespoke manager. Popped in on New Year?s Day to draw some money out for a family members birthday. The Cash machine was out of service and I went to buy a bottle of pop and politely asked the cashier if they would accept cash back. The cashier was very friendly and explained as they were closing they couldn?t provide this service, however the manager rudely interrupted his conversation (as if he couldn?t explain the situation himself) and she rudely told me in a distasteful tone exactly what the cashier was explaining to me. Great example of an evident manager with poor management skills who 1.) couldn?t let her staff deal with a simple situation 2.) was rude to me as the customer in the process. I?ve worked shifts all of my life working over the Christmas period and would never be rude to customers upon closing time, especially over a 10 second exchange that was easily explainable. Feel more sorry for staff who have to put up with such behaviour, and I?m hoping this was an isolated event.
