Every meal I've ordered has been delivered by there own drivers, they've all been excellent regularly early . The food has been perfect and good portions even when you order a smaller size . I've just ordered for the forth time this week as I work away and this is definitely my favourite takeaway in this area . Excellent job . Cheers

Excellent chip shop; initially we came here as our local one kept changing their gluten free days and left us desperate one night.
These days Rectory Fish Bar offer GF every day apparently!
We walk from four miles away for their fish & chips, and I believe we'd do this even without our family member's coeliac requirements as they are worth it. Always served fresh & staff very helpful.
Food tonight really was exceptional ? perfectly fried & piping hot. We're very grateful to have them in/near Nottingham.
Dietary restrictions: Serve gluten free fish & chips every day (as of September '24), fried fresh. They are clearly fully aware of coeliac disease and cross-contamination requirements, and offer gluten free vinegar also.

Service was ok, food was ok. Had cod and chips. Fish was ok, same for chips but I think whatever they fry the food in taints it. I'm not kicking the place to bits, the food was edible. To be honest, good for belly fill if you are really hungry, but have had better.
Probably not go there again.

Omg the nicest fish and chips place. The lady there was so lovely and they give scraps if you ask. Also gave us a kids meal for an adult she really understood the assignment ?

Food is horrible over cooked batter. Chips like they?ve been fried 3 times. Not a nice take away at all. Absolutely disgusting food

The best fish and chip shop in West Bridgford, where there is a lot of strong competition. The chips are chunky and sooo tasty. The fish is freshly cooked to order and brings back memories of eating fish and chips at the seaside. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient. The best customer service I've received from a takeaway. The 6" pizza is delicious too.

Would just like to say what a quality takeaway this is. Ordered through UberEats and when the order came, they had realised that they had missed off a can of coke. Within half an hour they had returned with the can of coke, along with a portion of fish and chips to say sorry for the mistake. The fish and chips were just as good as the rest of the food.

Ordered through ubereats and delivery was really quick. Mixed kebab with fresh salad which was really nice and portion size was enormous

The chips wasn't very nice well over done and the mushy peas were tasteless and very watery and I had a bad stomach for 2 days NEVER

The food was lovely, chips were spot on and nice and different to other chip shops, they were proper chunky cut and tastes just like proper home cooked chips ? doner meat was really nice and so was the chicken meat! could have done with a bit more sauce in the pots mind, but given the good was so nice, I didn't really care, tbh ????? lol.
It wasn't just about how good the food was though. It was also about the service they provided..
I had to ring them up to rectify a mistake I made when placing the order and lady who answered the phone was really lovely and polite and sorted it out for me straight away but the best part was that they sent me the 2 pound difference back with the food from the mistake I made because I wanted a doner meat tray (£6) and not a doner kebab (£8). I just thought that was a really nice gesture. It was very much appreciated. Thank you ?
