Everyone had a fabulous time. The service was impeccable, there is nothing the attentive staff couldn't and wouldn't do and were very knowledgeable. The food was nice. The restaurant is beautiful, the crockery, the glassware - notably gorgeous.

Sadly very underwhelmed after looking forward so much to our evening based on reviews. On a positive first, the staff are fantastic and it?s a lovely friendly atmosphere. However unfortunately the food didn?t live up to expectations. Choice was very limited which is fine but if that?s the case then the dishes should be done well? One of us had the seafood linguine which was a little bland. I had the pappardelle pesto/ mozarrella and to be honest I?ve never seen pasta swim in so much bright green pesto. I kept thinking of Kermit the frog! It was ok to start with but then after a few mouthfuls became a bit too much
Having holidayed in Italy this summer this sadly didn?t live up to expectations as authentic Italian dining. The focaccia and olives to start with were lovely though.
Sorry as I don?t like to post negative reviews but it was quite disappointing for a nearly £80 evening out for two

We attended La Storia on a Thursday evening and my exceptions were exceeded. The waiters are so attentive and personable, the drinks selection is extensive. I do not drink alcohol but loved that I could have a 0% Moretti and feel included with my friends, who also commented that the wine was one of the best they had tasted. The food was absolutely divine - amazing quality and taste for the price. Just enough that you feel full but not stuffed! I am also vegan and the vegan menu offered a range of choices which all sounded delicious. The dessert was also gorgeous. La Storia is a beautiful restaurant for a special evening, and I recommend a visit to everybody. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Lovely local gem. Food was great and service was brilliant. Tom was very knowledgeable and made it look easy. Steak was cooked to perfection.

Every time I have visited this place, the service and food has been outstanding. This is a beautiful restaurant with a menu that changes periodically which makes going back after a while exciting. A must try if you?re in the area.

Honestly, I went here ready to love the restaurant, but feel maybe it's taking things a little bit for granted. Had multiple dishes. Fussiloni. Wow well I am guessing boiled mince, but not an expert about why meat tasted the way it did, but I associated meat with mass produced methods of canteen food. Specials pasta was alright, think if not pasta itself being Al dente would definitely say most of people can prepare the dish at home without much effort. Wagyu whilst granted I never ate wagyu before was rubbery. Maybe that's how it suppose to be but I really had a bite and didn't want more. Tiramisu was Limoncello based , soft. Personally didn't like it, but I can see other people enjoying it. Overall during meal I was questioning my meat eating morals :D. Service was lovely. Decor was nice. Prices were high

Perfect spot for date night! We loved the menu, pasta was a 10/10 ? so fresh and delicious! Plus, they?ve got a fantastic selection of wines too. ?

From the minute we walked in, to leaving was an absolute delight. Holly, our waitress was amazing. Warm, friendly, and helpful. Made us feel right at home. My only criticism of the starter. I wanted more of the fresh foccacia. The mains were amazing. Great steak, well steamed turbot, and the quinoa was so fresh. Tiramisu, limoncello for afters. Again, it's a delight. Al fresco dining too. A family run restaurant that knows how to please. Get down and show support

Went here after coming back from Italy. Trying to recreate a bit of the magic two weeks later. The food is excellent. It?s potentially the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy.
Our waiter was really nice too.
The wine list is great - it is broken down by region which I found very useful.
Would make a really good choice for a date or birthday I think.
