Really poor customer service and customer journey. Went into branch, nobody on the tills for 20 minutes. Cash deposit machine was broken and swallowed my card, took another 10 minutes for somebody to restart it, and the same issue occurred for me. They then allowed another customer to do the same thing. Go elsewhere

Went into the branch to try and open a joint account with my partner, as we have not been able to online due to ?unknown error? each time, only to be told by the staff member that they can?t help us with that and we need to do it online.
I explained our issues and he just replied ?oh well it?s simple, you can sit there and try it?.
We sat for about 15 minutes completing the forms, only to be met with the same issue. The staff member was too busy helping someone else and hadn?t even come to ask if we were okay.
We decided to just leave and try with a different bank because Halifax service has been appalling.

Went into the bank to try and sort out an issue. Was told they didn?t deal with it there and I?d need to call them instead. What?s the point of having an open branch if they just tell you to call them.

Have been into the West Bridgford Branch this morning to try and resolve an issue with LPA having had difficulty getting into account on line. After being on the phone yesterday with the Halifax Team and their on line service we couldnt get the account to respond.
So we went into the Branch this morning we were greeted by a very polite and helpful lady her name was Artee she went on line sorted all the information needed and made the accounts active again. This lady was a credit to the Halifax Branch it was such a pleasure to be seen by a person who knew what they were doing.

Employee was utterly useless when trying to withdraw my money, had to visit 4 times with multiple different forms of id and as of this moment still don?t have my money, your money would be better kept in your mattress.

I've stopped even trying to use this branch unless there is absolutely no option. There is always a long queue, and always only one (two if you're lucky) cashiers at the kiosks - and they only put a second one on when the queue is ready to go outside the door. The speed of even a simple transaction is painfully slow, and the 'fast deposit' machine is no quicker, even if it is working and not jammed with a staple or paperclip. The staff make no attempt to hurry. I now do all my banking via the Post Office - you can pay money into Halifax accounts there.

It's a shame zero stars are not possible.I've been trying on and off since January to open 2 kids' monthly saver accounts for my kids. I couldn't work out why the website would not allow me to get to the end of the signup process for several months' worth of error messages and 'Next' buttons which did nothing.Having already visited the Nottingham city centre branch and being told they couldn't help and that it had to be done online I thought I'd try again. It took me quite some time to work out that neither Safari nor Chrome on Mac work with their site. Additionally, I couldn't use my existing account to sign up for these, I had to create completely separate new accounts for both, very badly designed.Upon attending a branch for the second time to complete these applications I was told that to have a kid's monthly saver account I first needed to open standard savers accounts, something which the online process failed to mention. The website asked me to attend the branch with ID for myself and the kids, which I did.So, they have all my info as well as the kids on the former application, so can they re-use it? No, of course not. I would need to drive home, apply for the other accounts, and go back in. I had my laptop with me, so asked if I could plug it in since it was out of charge (to a socket I could see right beside us) but I was told no.So, a third visit is expected to deal with staff who had no clue how their website functions and were unwilling to take or pass on any feedback from it. "I didn't design it", was what I was told. "Oh, I don't know anything about the website". An integral and necessary part of the signup process yet the staff appear to fail to know or want to know anything about it.I've given up. Please do yourself a favour and don't bother. Go for a bank whose website works, contains clear instructions, and the staff actually know what they are doing if you need to visit a branch. Two days off work and many, many attempts to open 2 accounts have got me nowhere with this lot.

This branch really is awful. Three members of my household have had significant problems. My daughter and myself both received compensation when we were found to have been incorrectly advised and treated. We have just filed two complaints for my son. He was unable to access his online banking and was told to visit the branch. He did this on two separate occasions with all his documentation, identification etc. They told him they couldn't help and he'd have to ring online banking. The woman assistant just walked off and didn't come back to my son. The manager didn't help either. Sorry West Bridgford but you show no desire whatsoever to help your customers. Whatever happened to service with a smile?
