What a little gem of a place....
Perfect stop for lunch, on our way home. Just off the A1. The food was 10/10 so was the service.
It might not look like a pretty country pub, however, well worth a visit!
Never judge a book by its cover, comes to mind!

We were a party of 13
All ages all ordered very different Meals.
The service was quick and efficient great friendly atmosphere
The food all came out together all hot all correct not one omission from the order
No one had any complaint everyone enjoyed the meal
Afterwards we sat in the beer garden
Overall we would all return highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant food! Came 2 days in a row both times food was perfect ,Sunday roast cooked to perfection,large portions well worth the money, highly recommended! Great staff all very attentive very helpful, will definitely be back! Thank you so much ?

Been here tonight for a birthday meal with our sons. Food was average at best but that wasn't the problem. Finally when the food was brought out, it came with an absolutely bladdered lady/waitress!!!! she had 2 plates in her hand & as she put 1 down, the other slid off the plate all over the floor because she could hardly stand up. she stood there & didn't say a word or an apology but just stared at us & walked away. As she walked away she banged her head on the wall cos she could hardly walk. So while all the rest of the family were eating their food, I had to wait for mine to be cooked again. Hence to say we will never be going back again. They genuinely need reporting!!!!

Amazing amazing food!! We shared 2 specials and they were delicious. So good we then shared the Devine sticky toffee pudding! Lovely drinks, lovely food! And super dog friendly. Don?t underestimate this hidden gem

Hi good evening went there tonight One of the bar staff told me it was a private party we don?t allow travelers and yes I am a member of the travelling community should that make a difference which Was very disrespectful and embarrassing in front of everyone how would you feel in the bar But they will be hearing from my solicitors this behaviour is not acceptable 100% racist thank you

Great little pub in heart of Nottinghamshire I Great food and prices they do nice sticky toffee pudding and the pizzas ? are nice and the Sunday roast and it Great place to meet up with friends it is nice in summer sat outside in beer garden waching the east coast mainline trains passing by at 100 miles a hour if you Train enthusiast like myself this is pub for you.

Nice homemade food and lots of it with extra gravy, just a shame the food timings are a little out, we was a group of 4 adults and 1 child. 2 of us had nearly finished our Sunday roast before the other 2 adults and the child's food came out. Staff are friendly especially the girl behind the bar as it was her first day too. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we asked to be called in from the play area when the food was ready Nice little play area for the small ones. Overall a nice little place
