Terrible experience, today 1st of May. I went there as i work in the hospital and offered to buy the whole mini fridge of ice cream because we were melting on the wards (patients and staff), on the condition if I can have a better price as the prices were exorbitant for some of them, although they were small in size. So I was offering to buy around 50 ice creams, the employee said that?s not her decision to give a discount but she addressed to her manager who, guess what, REFUSED! Tomorrow temperatures will go back down so you can remain with your stock. I hope the management will see this review and address it. Eventually I bought the cheapest ones ( around 24 pieces). Disappointed!

I'm absolutely disgusted i went to buy some reading glasses tuck them to self service till this young man said all right love ive looked around to see if he was talking to me or another member of staff no just me ther I carried on then walked over to the personal hygiene sanitary towels he's walked past me big grin on his face laughing obviously checking on me to see if I'm stealing oh please do me a favour and grow up !

I love this little shop. So convenient and I'm so glad that it stocks M&S Food. It also has a cash machine which is handy. The staff are often rushed off their feet but still professional and friendly.

I came here and bought food at 9am 8/2/24. I paid £9.50, but my card was charged 3 times for a total of £28.50. I raised this with the store manager, and she reacted by telling me that the money hadn't come out of my account, and it was in fact "pending". This was not the case. I showed her on my phone that the money had been deducted from my account, but she rather patronisingly insisted that I didn't understand my own bank account. My bank has confirmed that the money was deducted, as I have had to file a dispute for each deduction made. I wasn't allowed to leave the store with the food, as the transaction said 'cancelled' (I work in the hospital, and offered a copy of my ID in case all the money came back to my account, that I'd come back and pay - she refused). She insinuated that it was in fact my fault for not having a enough money in my account; I did have enough money until I was charged 3 times ????. She was rude, confrontational, didn't listen or acknowledge what had really happened and wasn't helpful beyond giving me a copy of the receipt. I left the store £28.50 down with nothing to show for it, other than an exceptionally poor customer service experience. I still don't have all of the money back in my account. Beware this store and the rude/patronising store manager (I presume she was the manager).The other, younger girl working in the store was lovely and tried to help me.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION: go through THE FRONT DOOR on the right-most entrance and walk forwards about 100ftand you will find WHSmith. Not through a wall like Google states.
