Tried selling my ps4 and the controller i haven't used in a while, no scratches or anything, tested it before handing it over, I gave it over he said come back in an hour like fair enough so I did he said it had stick drift and I saw scratches that I haven't seen before so clearly tampered so I wouldn't get any money or some sort receipt, worst shop I've been too

I honestly can't stand cex anymore, how is this company still going. The prices of most of the things are a joke.

Made every excuse under the sun not to take my items and after reviewing their policy online, they did not follow some of what happened in my situation. I fixed the issue they had as to why they wouldn?t take it within 5 minutes which they didn?t want to help me with or at least attempt to try anything to see if they can get it to work and after fixing it for myself I sold it to another shop for good money.
I?ve also purchased faulty items in the past that didn?t get properly checked and thus paid normal price rather than (discounted) like they should?ve done. They?re happy to take faulty items and sell but if it?s a small thing that isn?t a fault they won?t. The guy I sold it to laughed at cex was when I told him everything that happened, he was just as baffled.
Did everything by myself within no time at all and got money from elsewhere.

Ive never used a CEX before untill recently, and can say i NEVER will again.. 2 recent interactions.. both shocking.

1st interaction.. boxed SUPER nintendo console very good condition, all inlays. Instructions.. and suoer mario game. Along with boxed Snes Scope.. offered me £36 pounds!!! I argued and left with my items..
Went back today.. with all tested items..
They refused to test a wii controller because of corrosion.. thats fine ill take that back.. also refused full boxed wii setup complete minus one flap.. but accepted all thw rest.. n64...Ps4 controllers etc... 3 hours later...
They told me the n64 was broken.. although they failed to test it with an exspansion in or on the correct t.v. pointed out that seemed strange that they dont have the required testing facilities.. yet they buy consoles? Mayne they should organise better.. then tried to give me back a different wiimotion black controller with the wrong coloured back on.. saying corrosion.. (wasnt the one i took in can assure you) i refused and stood my ground on that.. then tried to offer me £12 voucher for a full wii black 32gb setup with with wii motion.. i pointed out thats incorrect and they seem to be absolutley inadeqaute at there jobs and argued with me.. untill someone looked online and then paid me the £46 voucher i was owed.. but at this point i dont wanna spend anything with em.. anyine wanna buy £66 worth of cex token for 55 pounds? Lol ? no serious.. i wont spend it with this bunch of robbers..
Update.. response by owner.. Just as dumb as the rest.. my names not jason.. lol ? and clearly you must encourage daylight robbery.. to offer 36 pounds for a boxed snes in almost mint condition, apart from one end of the box.. is just robbery. You sell that system in that condition for 230 pounds ffs

Went in there today to exchange a ps4 controller for my son for a credit note, they insisted the item was fake! I personally purchased the item 3years ago from argos! The manager then goes on to say the item has been in there shop at least 5 times in different stores, I did say why are you selling it to customers if it is a fake! All very confusing as my son has only just moved on to Xbox and never traded it in before! Unfortunately due to the poor customer service I will not be using this store again! Not helpful and very undermining!

Useless liars. Took a psp in to trade the staff member who served was struggling to close the battery compartment all the way. When I returned for the test guess what the compartment was now broke and closed easily but they refused to take it as it was now broke. When confronted about it they point blank lied to my face. Now I have a broken psp I have to buy spare parts for. But don't worry I'm sure the reply to this review will be another denial and try to blame me for their mistake. As is the cex way. They take 0 responsibility for their actions.Edit: also the first member of staff checked over the psp and battery compartment beforehand, if it was broken before cex had their way with it he wouldn't have even had it tested in the first place.
