I am a mother of three young children, and between working almost all the time and caring for them, my days are very busy. Today it was raining, so I couldn?t take the children outside. At 11:47, I went to Asda to buy bottles for school. Beforehand, I checked online and saw that the store was open until 12:00pm.
When I arrived, the doors were open, but an employee told me the store was closed. I politely explained that I only needed two bottles and it would take no more than a couple of minutes, but I was refused entry. Unfortunately, the employee was also very disrespectful in the way he spoke to me.
I left feeling very disappointed with my experience at Asda. I arrived well before closing time, and yet I wasn?t allowed in for even two minutes to get what my children needed.

Anyone even work there? very hard to find staff members on the shop floor especially on whatever department you are on. Last few times i have been in i have been needing something getting down like dog food and had to go on a 5 minute walk around to fetch someone off clothes or veg because you can't find anyone and when you do find someone they're nice but you can tell they're fed up.
Store itself is very dated and old and recently a lot of items i scanned come up different prices to what it says on the label on shelves and if you didn't check you would just pay it. I think its about time this store has some money spending on it as its not changed in the 5+ years i have been going to it that's for sure.

!AVOID THE CAFE AT ALL COSTS!
Came in today at 1:45 ish and the service was shocking. The middle-aged skinny lady that had short hair was so rude to me and my son. When we walked in the cafe was a mess, food was all over the floor and tables had sauce dried on them. When I asked the lady behind the counter if she could come and clean my table, she gave me attitude. She eventually did come to clean the table but not without rolling her eyes and muttering under her breath. She really lacked customer service. When we finally did get our food it was stone cold and solid. The chips felt like they?d been dipped in concrete they were that bloody solid. Honestly, I do not know how a cafe like this could go so down hill so fast. It was a perfect experience before they had a spruce up. Now the staff all have the face on and talk to you like you?re the spawn of satan for even going in. Very disappointing.

I usually do online shopping, however decided to go instore for a change. I'm pleased I did. From security who were friendly and helpful to staff. As I didn't know where anything was everyone I asked didn't just tell me the aisle number they took me to the item. Chatting away. It enhanced my shopping experience and will definitely go instore again.

Having avoided Asda Sutton-in-Ashfield for a long time now I unavoidably had to pop in for a few urgent items for my mum who lives locally. Not knowing where anything was located and trying to avoid staying too long I approached a member of staff for assistance. She was very welcoming and happy to help me locate not one item but several and chatted happily including asking me about how I was and if she knew my mother if she'd been in. She came across as very genuine. She also assisted several others during or trek around the store without losing interest in our conversation when we continued on. Asda I don't generally leave many reviews so please take this as a positive when I say your member of staff - Chrisie - I hope there's only one, is an asset to you as I may now come back to your store more often because of her and also in the hope of seeing her happy welcoming face again!

Disappointed with Customer Service this time. I purchased instore £86 of groceries including Meal Deal 1xstarter,1xside,1xmain,1xsweet for £10.50....a bargain
After unpacking goods at home I checked the receipt.....was charged £16 for Meal Deal :(
Went into store 2xdays later with receipt for refund, the Assistant and I went to the Meal Deal chiller, the starter was actually a side dish.....but stored on the same shelf as all the starters. Therefore it pushed my cost up to full price.
I felt not my fault, displayed incorrectly, but was told No.....my mistake !
Customers please re-check what you are picking up.......I lost £6 :(

I went in the store tonight after work around 7pm as usual and did my shop. The lady named Julie Vaughan was extremely helpful and because the self checkout had locked out which caused a delay, Julie really helped me and moved me to another scanner to checkout. I hadn't got enough to pay for my bananas and Julie got a pound coin and paid for them as I said can you put them back on the fruit section for me please. It was such a lovely thing that Julie did and I gave her a hug. All of your staff are so helpful and friendly and make my shopping trip an enjoyable one. Thank you Julie ??

Good Asda store, fairly large with lots of choice.

Don?t know why Asda even bother offering an electronic selection like games etc, because they?re NEVER in stock, even on release day, and even when the website says they?re in stock, 5th time now I?ve been down to pick up a game/movie only for the old ladies on the customer service counter (the ONLY ones that are allowed to fetch the games) to tell me their out of stock, because they can?t actually find them in the 3 pull out shelves they?re store in. If it?s so hard for the oldies to find the games in that little shelve, maybe get staff with better eyesight to work on that station, last time I went down I had 2 people looking on that shelf for the game only for a third one to come along and find it straight away, so even when they say it?s ?out of stock? it?s not, it?s just because they can?t see the bloody title!

Truly Terrible My Last Four Visits to this Store have encountered a problem with being overcharged (Price on Shelf Edge Lower Than at Till) Or Coupons From Asda App being accepted then at payment removed.
Not the most pleasant store to shop in and now almost totally shelf service.
Not Recommended !

Wife just got back from Asda at Sutton in Ashfield where there wasn't a check out open - not one.
Was told she would HAVE to use the self checkout as no staff free. She said she would leave the trolley there rather than use that so - fair enough - the lady offered to do it for her.
BUT - nothing would scan through. NOTHING. So the member of staff went to get one of the scanners people use as they are shopping - which actually worked.
COME ON ASDA - GET A GRIP. GET SOME STAFF ON.
ITS BAD ENOUGH PAYING FOR SHOPPING NEVERMIND HAVING TO DO SOMEONE'S JOB TO PAY FOR IT.
POOR POOR POOR POOR

If I have time I wouldn't even bother going in this store I'll happily drive to the next supermarket I would be limiting my visit to only when desperate as some staff are rude and unprofessional.
