We are so lucky we have moved into the village and found the best Pub/ restaurant in the whole of Nottinghamshire but keep it quite because I don’t want it to get too busy ? worth a visit you won’t be disappointed 5 star all round.
Once a 16th Century ale house, The Red Lion is a fine country Gastropub, set in the charming village of Thurgarton, next door to the historic town of Southwell. Serving modern British cuisine daily.
Newly owned and refurbished in January 2019, you can expect all the original features of this historic pub, that's been refreshed and complimented with contemporary decor. With four separate dining and drinking areas off the central bar, each with it's own character, makes The Red Lion a delightful place to visit.
