Went during the day. It was ok. Very limited wine choice. Its a beer drinkers pub.

This is a great place which easily accommodated our large group. Bar Food was available until 10pm - cheese boards and pork pies were delicious and well received. Staff pleasant and welcoming. However, pub loses a star on the scruffy ladies toilets. Graffiti on doors, wet floors and push taps that don't turn themselves off. They really need an update and were a bit of a surprise when the rest of the pub was well presented.

Superb little find. Love the outside that looks like a train station.
Visited twice now. Try the cheese platter and pork pie, lovely and good value for money.

A proper British pub. Great service and knowledgeable staff. 5 star outside seating area. We travel up to see family and never fail to pay a visit. Highly recommended.

Great just sitting outside in a shaded spot in the courtyard on a warm Summer day, after cycling along the Southwell Trail. Bit slow at the bar whilst two guys tried the real ale prior to purchase, but no biggie.

Went to the beer festival.scanned the beer list .chose a stout.beer was delivered with a card reader put in front of me demanding £6.90.I dont do the card .offered £7 cash but dont accept cash .Every cloud has a silver lining.Walked out left pint on the bar.If you want to pay £6.90 for a 5.4% pint its the place for you.Shove ya card where the sun dont shine.Go to the Beehive at Maplebeck where cash is king and the beer is a reasonable price

Great trad pub, full of history, great reasonably priced ales always circulating, good for a chat and the live music is really good.
