A chance find today after an online search for ice cream in Southwell for my kids. As a coeliac, I was thrilled to arrive and immediately spot a sign advertising gluten free ice cream cones then see multiple gluten free options on the cake counter too! It?s not often I?m spoiled for choice! The GF carrot cake was delicious and the kids were very happy with their ice creams. The staff were all lovely, superb service. It?s a popular place and I can see why. We?re not local, but I will certainly consider a return trip to Southwell to visit this gem!

I've been here a couple of times before and it has been excellent. Unfortunately today not quite the same experience ordered lge cappuccino and sausage sandwich. Can't fault the food . Sausage a bit under browned for my liking but I didn't ask for it to be well done and as I said was lovely. When I sat down unfortunately I didn't put the little wedge of wood with the order number on show and young man who came to find me showed his distaste with a kind of shrug.. yes I didn't realise the number wasn't on show but hardly the end of the world. He in general was miserable and sluggish and looked like he would rather be somewhere else. Not really a good impression. The two owners I have to say were as usual lovely. It's a shame and hoping my next trip there will be better

As cafe owners we often find ourselves disappointed when we eat out. But not today. This cafe is a little Gem with obviously passionate staff. The paninis were exceptional with lovely fresh ingredients. Service amazing with smiles all round and Daisy the dog was made very welcome with the offer of water. Being in the business we know how hard this industry can be, but hats off to you and your team. You are doing an amazing job. And your prices are very reasonable for the quality delivered. I highly recommend Alfresco Caffè. Alfresco coffee is way better then Costa!
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful in helping me decide and every time their coffee has been delicious!

Having got shocking non service at a nearby cafe we found this one close by and so glad we did. Great prompt caring courteous service was received! We had the vegan Paninis which were stunning, very different to what I'm used to but perfect for breakfast and really well presented, nice coffee too. I know where in town I will come back too!
Would be great if there were another vgn choice or 2 but happy here anyway.
Dietary restrictions: A few vegan choices for breakfast- well 1 that we could see but the vgn panini was excellent
