I ate here with a friend. The veggie options were very limited - that?s OK - but not only was the quality of the food I received average at best (soggy chips), I noticed an anomaly on the menu: a starter marked as vegetarian that was stated to include Parmesan. Any half-decent chef (let alone one who has worked with all the big names mentioned on their website,) knows that Parmesan is not vegetarian, and that it?s a reserved name (like Champagne,) and so can?t be used to describe a vegetarian hard cheese substitute. However, mistakes happen and so I mentioned it to the waiter, but he couldn?t have been less interested. Eventually, after several prompts, he asked in the kitchen and told me the dish was ?vegetarian but not vegan?, - showing a total ignorance of dietary preferences. He said the head chef was on holiday, so I asked for the matter to be raised with him and left my email address and a written description of my query. Over two weeks later, I?ve had no response. It makes me wonder what else is in their ?vegetarian? dishes.

Came with a friend for dinner, she has been a few times and said it was good. She was not wrong, the food was delicious, staff were very friendly and also gave good advice, and the atmosphere was very welcoming too. Would definitely visit again next time I'm around!
I ordered the steak burger, my friend ordered the chicken burger - we cut them both in half and shared them to try both. Delicious! I had the cheese board for dessert which was really nice too. Would recommend to anyone!

Was recommended to come here, now starting to think the guy that recommended it hates me ?. Not even average food at best, over priced rubbish, management was just not bothered sour faced and Asif we inconvenienced him being there. Asked for flavoured ciders for my partner he just keep repeating inches cider I said is It fruit flavoured he said yes and it was just normal cider, chicken pie sauce was practically water the fried chicken burger was neither fried nor edible. Staff moved furniture from inside to outside during the whole meal shoving my chair twice. Some young staff in there that are going to be ruined by this management team as their terrified of him.

Sirloin steak, 29.50£.... ordered medium rare, came out medium well. Mentioned it to staff member who agreed it was nowhere near med rare. He took it back after asking how long a new med rare would take, only to be sent back out by the chef to tell me it 'was a bit more pink if you cut through the middle.' no chance. Poor form from the chef to put that member of staff back out there with such a line. Was told 5-7 mins for a new steak, waited nearly 20.

Absolutely amazing as always. Crab was on the menu (it appears once a year for a period of time) and I snuck in on my lonesome just to have it, I?d seen it on the specials board the afternoon before and it had been playing on my mind since then. Brilliant! The service, the quality of the food - crazy good. Thank you!

Popped in for a Sunday Roast as we're new to the area and are just a five minute walk from the pub.
Service was helpful, friendly, and attentive but the food was lacking. My partner and I both had the roast beef with a side of cauliflower cheese. Beef was very fatty and rather than a few slices we were given one huge slab each which was a strange choice. Roast potatoes weren't cooked enough and the cauliflower cheese was bland and undercooked.
It was a nice touch being given extra gravy from the get go rather than having to ask but a lacklustre meal non the less. Given the price I expected a far far better standard and quality. We also mentioned when ask the points I've raised above and there was no effort to reconcile the matter - which I think is important to mention also.
We left disappointed and won't be rushing back.
