This is a lovely little place in Retford the food is excellent the staff are friendly and helpful always make you feel welcome.
Vegetarian options: Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, I'm not vegetarian but they are very accomodating to those that are.
Dietary restrictions: The staff always ask if you have any dietary requirements or allergies.
Parking: This little Bistro is right at the side of the canal you can sit inside or out and watch the ducks and swans my granddaughter loved it as she could feed the ducks as they come out of the water for the food. It's just a lovely little spot to sit and have a coffee would highly recommend it ?
Kid-friendliness: Yes it's children and dog friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes you could get in in a wheelchair

Lovely to sit out in the sun and eat on the canal but not impressed with paying 12 quid for a chilli jacket potato with coleslaw someone nipped and fetched from.tne supermarket

I was accused of not paying my bill, I returned with my bank statement to prove I had, only to be told by the same member of the kitchen staff that I had done this before, and that she had seen me on a few occasions. To the owner, please check your cctv, I am happy to return with any of my bank statements, and perhaps ask your staff why she did not ring the police if I had done it on multiple occasions.

Great place to visit ,eat inside or outside by the canal.Had sandwiches with fries and coffee ,very tasty and well presented.

Me and the wife and toddler, went in looking forward to having breakfast, as we are new to the area and was told to try it out. We were seated informed there was a wait for food which is not a problem. Then after asking for our order to be taken we were then informed that they wouldn't be taking out order as the kitchen was too busy. When asked we were informed that everyone's order that had been seated after us had been taken hence why they couldn't accommodate taking our order. When asked why had everyone's else's order been taken bar ours even though we were seated prior to their arrival, a blank stare was given in response. Just a thing to notice, only mixed family in there and the ones not even afforded a decent customer service... Just saying

What a lovely little place. Cosy, clean & SO much choice.
The food was great, and the service was fabulous.
Wrong time of year at the moment, but come the warmer weather, I'd love to be sat outside, overlooking the marina, chilling with a coffee & a bite to eat.

I had a lovely club sandwich with a lovely creamy latte. The staff were extremely polite and kind and the food was delicious, great value for money. Absolutely best cafe in retford. Definitely will be back next Saturday.

Go here for a breakfast fairly regularly, always good and the poached eggs are always perfect ?
Went for a birthday brunch with friends a breakfast and unlimited drinks for two hours at a very good price.

Went here a few years ago and it was great . The place was full and the food was outstanding. Visited on Sat ( Oct 2024) the staff looked they couldn?t be bothered and didn?t want to be there . The waitresses finger nails were way too long and should not be worn when dealing with food .The food was plain and boring . Sweet potato fries were undercooked . The two cooks sat right outside the entrance smoking , not a good look and very unhygienic ! Did they change their clothes after smoking ?
The tables were sticky . Would not recommend this place . Awful

We had 2 paninis for lunch, both were cheese and a filling. They were plonked on an oval dish without garnish and the filling was barely there. Very disappointed, not worth the nearly £10 each price tag. They did take off the cost of a drink, but this did not compensate for our very expensive lunch.

Food was tasty. We were of the opinion that it was new owners. Drink orders were taken but delivered sporadically with the first ones having finished before others had received theirs. A member of staff apologised for the food delay saying they only had one pan to poach eggs which most of us had ordered. Again the first one's served had finished before others received their food. The breakfast hash was tasty and more than made up for any perceived delay. Once they have their act together it would be a lovely location to dine.
Parking: The council owned car park caters for about 15 vehicles.

We're frequent visitors to Retford and this is a regular haunt. Lovely location by the chesterfield canal, plenty of outdoor seating, it's a great little place for a drink or a cuppa on a sunny afternoon - good food, lovely staff, reasonably priced.
