On visiting this store I was extremely disappointed at the attitude of one of the assistant (I believe to be manager) sat on the floor doing a shoe display .the customer asked about a pricing on a DVD she asked twice the assistant never looked up and answered very rudely and totally dismissive towards the lady. Manners cost nothing and I for one will not be going in again it was embarrassing. Certainly not the way to encourage business As a shop manager in years gone by I would be taking a more professional approach to training the staff

Very disappointed with my visit and service today. Saw a lovely dress and jacket in the window of the shop and walked in to ask what size and price. The lady behind the counter told me this information but then said that she would not be able to sell me it today?!!!? I commented that I'd never had that issue before with charity shops, they had always immediately taken the dress off the model. Apparently because of covid and reduced staff, they didn't have time to change a dress in a window display. There were two staff that I could see, and the shop wasn't packed by any means! I asked if I could pay for it and come back Friday as work all week. She asked another lady, who immediately said "No, sorry, it's sold". Perhaps a little ticket or sticker that would take a minute could of been applied to save me wasting my time. Excuse me for thinking that displays were there to entice people in and that you actually want to sell the items on display. Clearly Barnardo's, despite these crazy times, have plenty of money as a charity to refuse customers. Cop out excuses and never had an issue with any other charity before. Won't ever buy or browse in Barnardo's again now because of the attitude of the staff who clearly just didn't want the hassle. Don't believe it was sold either!
