Visited The Bees Knees whilst camping at the nearby Trentfield Farm. This is a lovely venue, serving a mix of real ales and standard drinks. We also partook of their food and it can only be described as beautiful, perfect portions and each meal our party ate was tasty. We have already said we would go out of our way to eat here again!! If you are in the area don't miss out on a treat.

Literally the bees' knees!! David and the team did the bar at our wedding and they were honestly incredible from start to finish!! So friendly and fun, chatting to our guests and catering to everyone (even weird requests like a black velvet). Could not have asked for better!!!

Stopped for a pint and a bacon, cheese burger and to be honest I found the pint of Dragonfly to be perfect but the wait for the burger was making me consider getting up and leaving before it arrived. When it did arrive I found it to be at best mediocre, the onions rings were cold, the bacon over cooked and the burger was tough, the accompanying coleslaw was 'wet'. Overall I would say disappointing and not something I would order again.
The food I have had previously has been very good, so maybe just an off night, or over busy, as the service was somewhat chilly as I had earlier mentioned that I was about to leave before the food arrived.

We had food on Tues. Limited menu due to young chef just starting. Absolutely superb! Food was amazing. Well cooked and plentiful. We highly recommend!

My husband Mark and I stayed at a gorgeous Airbnb in Laneham for the weekend of 11th April 2025. We popped into The Bees Knees pub for dinner on the Friday and Saturday evening.
David, the owner, came over to us to ask how our meal was and we all got chatting. He and all his staff made us feel so incredibly welcomed. The food was delicious with very generousportions, and we booked to come back on Saturday as they had tapas and a band on.
David greeted us on Saturday like we were old friends, he remembered our names and asked how our day out in Lincoln was. He is just lovely, and we just had the best time. We didn't get a chance to say bye to him on Saturday as the pub was busy with customers, food being served, the band and dancing!
We ate (over the 2 visits) steak & chips, chilli beef, tapas. All generous portions and yummy.
David, thank you and all of your staff! And if we're in your neck of the woods, we will pop in again!
