A scalding experience !
So this morning I visited Forever Green with my family . We often go for a morning coffee . Lovely setting . We like to get to know the staff by their names .
This morning we all ordered tea cakes , two coffees and a tea. The tea cake unusually arrived first so table quite full . Drinks came next ..three drinks on a round tray , tea in a tea pot two lattes.
The lovely girl who was called Kate..lifted two drinks off at the edge of the tray and as she did do and leaned forward , the remaining drink tipped over backwards. It was hot, and I was concerned about her ..and helped her wipe up checked she was ok . I was scolded too but did not want to make a fuss,
. So after we had eaten our tea cakes we ordered three more coffees ..a different girl this time served us, and can you believe this time she did the exact same thing and two cups dropped back,
Same thing again checked she was ok . I mopped up the table as no one came, and the floor with tissues and we chatted a bit .
No one from the staff came to clean up the table or floor .
After a while we watched them take a coffee to another table but not replacing ours. I got up to go to wash myself as I had been scalded, and my hands were sticky, so on the way I asked the girls if they had forgotten our coffee. The manageress said sharply ?you are not having another coffee unless you pay for it, you have already scalded two of my staff!?
To be honest at first I was in shock..I don?t care about the coffee, but I do care about being accused of scalding someone !
I did not touch the trays nor did anyone else ! I think maybe the girls were worried about being blamed but we had not complained so a replacement was fine..I mean I got scolded twice!
I was so angry and upset I went back to ask what I was supposed to have done . I was mainly ignored apart from ?it happened twice , you are paying for your coffee?
By now in tears, my sister went to ask for someone higher up..we refused to pay. (For anything!)
Manager was fetched and he spoke to us outside and asked me to explain, said he had heard both sides now and said he would sort it out.
We came away and I have no idea if anything was said .
The lovely young girls need safety training about trays and coffee.
The manageress needs serious training on her customer approach. She was so rude .
We are sad as we will never return..and I refuse to be blamed for something I did not do..
More to the point someone needs telling !

In a wonderful woodland setting and when you 1st walk in, 1st impression is the place is smart and clean. The food is good, clean plates from both of us. Definitely go back.

This restaurant is in a lovely location. The car park is ample but there's a short walk to get in the restaurant. The food is of a good standard. Some of the food can be extremely spicy to those of us who have more delicate taste buds. The entrance is wheelchair and buggy accessible.

Ordered a feta salad. Was mostly leaves and they had started to go off. Returned dish. No apology. Given another dish which was in exactly the same state. Got a refund.

Our first visit here, to a family funeral after gathering. Very beautiful and interesting place, set in the grounds of an old Victorian hospital. Very close to nature, see the birds feeding and admire wooden carvings in the grounds. In a modern building with panoramic views downstairs and upstairs. Cafe and restaurant downstairs, we went upstairs to the private function, buffet was excellent, two of us were df and gf and we're well catered for. Staff helpful and attentive, only issue was no toilets upstairs, also no lifts so people with accessibility issues did have to use stairs.

Been here on two occasions
First time to scope them out upon my findings i found the staff quite challenging to deal with, cognitive dissonance, upon the second visit i had to leave due to the sheer arrogance of the manager who was wearing chef whites out of the kitchen
Health & safety standards forgotten about to be rude and quite frankly ignorant towards future customers.
Advertised as a restaurant in nature yet cannot have apart of nature inside
NOT DOG FRIENDLY
All dog owners please boycott this place your furball deserves better treatment.
Lastly no heated outside area.
No consideration

I would like to thank Maisie and the Team at Forever Green. We held our family wake here today. From the original contact with Maisie, to the organisation and planning, she has been a great help at this difficult time for the family. From the layout of the room, the food & drinks, to the music playing and access to additional seating, the staff have been wonderful & really helpful. The buffet was a high standard with lots available and plenty of it.
We would like to thank you all for your compassion during this sad time.
