previously had excellent food when visited the restaurant. Decided to get a takeaway for valentines night. The delivery was an hour late, the food was only luke warm. onions were still raw in the dishes and the curry's had no flavour and were very watery. very disappointed.

Two things:- 1, menu prices when looking online are £5 more at venue. 2, staff need some training on to serve drinks other than Cobra/Kingfisher, other than that I can only rate as above average

Really disappointed. Food arrived over an hour after it was ordered. Mixed kebab cold and 3 pieces so tough that they were inedible. Prawn Biriani was also cold. The rice tasted soapy. The sauce had huge lumps of potato and little runny sauce. Threw it away.

A Hidden Gem ? Absolutely Fantastic Experience! ?????
From the moment we walked into Woodthorpe Tandoori, we knew we were in for something special. The warm, inviting atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The decor is beautifully done, with elegant chairs that add a touch of class to the dining experience. Soft, soothing music played in the background, creating a perfect ambiance for a cozy meal.
The hospitality here is second to none. The service was outstanding, with a lovely waitress who took the time to chat with us, making us feel incredibly welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that everything was just right throughout the meal.
Now, onto the food ? simply phenomenal! Every dish was prepared with such care and bursting with freshness. The fish pakora was a standout ? crispy on the outside, tender and flavourful inside, and seasoned to perfection. The naans were delicious, light, and fluffy, with just the right amount of crispiness and char. They paired beautifully with the curries, which were packed with flavour and topped with loads of fresh coriander (which I absolutely love!).
One of the things I appreciated most was the variety on the menu. There were so many dishes I had never heard of before, making the experience even more exciting. It was a joy to try something new, and every dish exceeded expectations. The selection of desserts was also impressive, and everything we tried was delicious.
To top it all off, they brought out hot towels at the end of the meal ? a thoughtful touch that really added to the experience. And, as if that wasn?t enough, we were treated to complimentary After Eight chocolates ? such a delightful way to finish off a fantastic meal.
The value for money here is excellent, especially considering the high quality of food and service. We left feeling full, satisfied, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for amazing Indian food in a relaxed and welcoming setting, Woodthorpe Tandoori is an absolute must-visit. Highly, highly recommended! ?

I just ordered from here for the first time 16/05/24 and I have no idea how this restaurant has soo many 4/5 star ratings. The food was really bad. Lamb bhuna was tough as old boots and really lacked flavour. Chicken Tikka massala wasn't any better chicken was really dry. Naan bread was burnt. Very disappointed.

Just recieved a curry that was ordered online, curry was nice but extremely disappointed that they got my order wrong! Ordered a garlic Nan with cheese that was £4, recieved a plain Nan and it was like eating cardboard
