Went in today Tuesday 19th August 2025, wanted to purchase 2 medium brown envelopes which came to £3.98 which by the way were not priced.Had I realised I could have purchased 25 of those envelopes from them for £5.99. ABSOLUTE RIP OFF !!

Useless Post Office staff. Asked to send a standard size letter 2nd class signed for which I've done there many times before. Got charged £4.70 for this. Realised that was far too much so asked if that was for a standard size letter. Was told yes and that the price went up in April. When I got home I checked my receipt. The letter had been sent Large letter 48 hour tracked and signed. Drove all the way back there to be told that they don't offer 2nd class signed for. THEN WHY HAVE I BEEN SOLD IT PREVIOUSLY, WHY WAS I TOLD IT WAS SENT AS A STANARD LETTER WHEN IT WAS SENT AS LARGE AND WHY WAS I NOT TOLD WHEN I ASKED FOR 2ND CLASS SIGNED FOR THAT YOU DON'T DO IT?? ABSOLUTE RIP OFF. WILL NEVER BE GOING THERE AGAIN.

Absolutely awful staff.
Was told I could go to any window including the travel money window to collect a parcel. The travel money window even had a poster on saying collect, post-parcels here! But the most awful women was having non if it and told me to re join the queue again which was a lot bigger now! Even an elderly lady said I was told to go to that window but the vile women serving didnt want to know !
No wonder they are closing down everywhere with un helpful miserable staff like that !
If you want to be spoken to like dirt this is the shop for you.

I called into the WHSmith in Beeston today looking for a diary. One of the shop assistants could see I was looking for something and kindly offered to help. She took me over to the diary section and then informed me that they may be reduced. To my luck, she was right. I got a great saving, so I bought two more for my mates. A big thank you to Amanda who helped me and the lovely lady on the check out too.

Personally I find that WHSmiths is a good place to go for stationary equipment and books. The overall quality of products sold here are good and long lasting. The staff here are helpful and will assist the best possible way.
