Not great, orange juice arrived with a huge chip in glass, we waited ages for cake and had to ask, as our drinks were nearly finished, can?t understand why a cake and drink can?t come together, other people there having the same issue. The seats are a mess and need replacing asap, it?s not exactly cheap in there so I would expect better, I wouldn?t go back.

srsly?i will never go to this shop again. Go broken. I booked event cake on Monday and paid in full, told staff that I will come and collect on Friday between 12-1pm. This is what i get from this shop at 12:30 on Friday noon. Staff told me help yourself to put strawberries on cake, cake is too hard to put fruits on. She forgot to take cake from bridge. Are you kidding me?

My friend and I enjoyed "Afternoon tea for two". We absolutely loved it ?

Had afternoon tea on Sunday, felt like the restaurant had gone downhill a bit. Some of the leather seats were ripped and had food on them. Staff were attentive and friendly, the food was very mediocre, its a shame as it used to be a go to place to eat-especially for the cakes, but it gives off a vibe of cost cutting now, which in turns means people don't come back and the more it spirals downhill.

Went there last Saturday. My smoked salmon bagel could not have been drier. There was hardly any salmon, it had been cut very thin and the cream cheese had been spread so much it did cover the bagel. Cake was ok. Seats had holes in them, noisy place, good service. Nottingham deserves better.

Unfortunately I was very uncomfortable here. Not staffs fault I?m sure as they seemed very busy. Shame it is so noisy and chaotic. Tables not clean . Furniture ripped. Waited a long time and I struggled to find any real mouthful of salmon or cream cheese.Could barely taste any of either. On plus side the waitress was very smiley and polite .

Coffee and cake are very tasty. Unfortunately, the place looks very run down. Holes in the seats. Falling apart menu. Tables dirty. It's a pity that such a nice place with good coffee and cakes is so neglected. The place needs renovation and refreshment.

Very enjoyable first visit as a result of being given a "Buy a gift" voucher. Helpful polite staff. Will be recommending to friends and hopefully revisiting soon.

AVOID, BEWARE *******My Fiancé and I visited Patisserie Valerie in Nottingham today for the first and definitely last time. My girl wanted to surprise me with a small romantic date in the city and so she purchased an introductory gift (Voucher for 2) to eat and drink and a dessert each.Unbelievably sweet and thoughtful of her to do this for me. I am severely disabled after my accident so seemingly mundane events to others if not most, are moments that mean the world to me.We entered Patisserie Valerie. Totally and completely ignored by any and all staff. A few minutes later and in a loftier spirit, I exclaimed to my Fiancé ?hey cutie let?s just pick our own table. They are just too busy at the moment?. We chose a table for two at the window. The pleather seats are tatty and shredded, the table dirty from lord knows how many previous diners. No biggie after all because we were on a ?romantic date?. There are two menus laid onto the table before us. We perused the selection with excitement pointing to one another the most enticing meal and drink options.Moments later and a heavier set young lady approaches our table. All smiles she asks of us what from the menu we want to order. Happily and positively toned, my beautiful chica pointed to while placing our request. Immediately and not at all quietly, the young woman said ?yeah no you cannot order any of that with your voucher? followed by our rather perturbed expression asking for other meal and drink options.*Loudly again drawing attention to both of us from other diner?s the waitress retorted?Yeah NOO those are also not included with your voucher.?I peered at the waitress and in an expectedly defensive tone, I reacted with ?so you are telling us that the dine for two with drinks and a dessert offer that my Fiancé purchased for Patisserie Valerie, does not pay for any of the menu choices presented to us by you??.Then the finger pointing and cross referencing commenced. We were humiliated and feeling so genuinely as though we are second class citizens, I told my Fiancé we need to exit and I will find us someplace else. We got up, asked to confirm the staff at the counter if our voucher would be refunded to us and subsequently left Patisserie Valerie. It was 2:30pm at this point and we were both hungry as well as irritated. My Fiancé told me she feels like she failed me and ?cannot do anything right?.If Patisserie Valerie as a business chooses to pursue winning new customers by creating a special introductory voucher, then Patisserie Valerie in Nottingham should very respectfully furnish their Diner?s with two separate Menus. Common sense and the basic understanding of professionalism so clearly evades Patisserie Valerie. No apology or anything whatsoever attempted upon our exiting.I am wholly disgusted and as a long standing Nottingham Resident will do all I can to warn others of Patisserie Valerie.

Had a lovely afternoon tea. Everything was fresh and a good supply of drinks. Not as much on the savoury side as I've had before but plenty to eat with the beautiful cakes and warm scones. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. X
