Great location. No working lift. Comfy bed.

We had a suite for our anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The only slight issue was the lift being out of service and the room on the 5th floor but we were offered help with our bags and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. The suite was beautiful and amenities were 5

Uncomfortable bed, room was noisy from the sound of the street and wreaked of paint. Wouldn't come here again.

Dreadful experience.Booked the room 1 year in advance for an event in Nottingham Centre.Check in was supposed to be from 3pmAfter driving to Nottingham, arrived at 4.30pm to be told ?the guests last night checked out late and the room isn?t ready? here?s a drink token go and wait in the bar?Went upstairs and had a glass of coke each as it was still fairly early.. mindful that we didn?t have a huge amount of time to get ready before the event? It got to 5.10pm and we were still sat upstairs in the bar with empty coke glasses, over 2 hours after check in timeThe bar man came over with no context with a bottle of Prosecco and just said ?sorry, it?s still not ready?? bearing in mind we are two people who don?t drink alcohol so found this a little distasteful anyway? Was this not taken into consideration? Now worrying about the time, we went downstairs and asked reception how much longer it was going to be?The gentleman behind the reception said ?it?s still gonna be about another 20 minutes?? refused to offer us any kind of compensation and just said we can go somewhere else if we want. Yet again ranting about how the guests yesterday checked out late?Sorry, we booked this room a year in advance and you couldn?t even have it ready 2 hours+ after check in time and wanted £170 off us?In the end we gave up and booked the Hilton Hotel a short walk away, where we booked, checked in and had our room key in the space of 10 minutes. A much more pleasant experience.Would not return here. Shocking organisation and shocking customer service.

Pricey for what you get.It was clean and the staff are nice, but I think the charge for location is too much of a tax. I know there?s cheaper hotels nearby that I will use next time.

Great location but poor value for money. Room needed renovation, bathroom freezing cold, breakfast poor quality, bed really saggy.

Nice hotel, good location, comfortable rooms. The hotel was undergoing renovation; however, I hardly noticed. The staff are excellent. Pay attention to parking, nearest parking 10 min walk from hotel.

I am a silver member for accor hotels, I have been experiencing pleasant stays across the accor hotels.Unfortunately I have to say that the experience in this mercure hotel was not up to the standards we have experienced in similar hotels.1. Intricate layout to get the hotel by car and parking not onsite but in public parking ran by the city council, very busy.2. Reception: Very poor welcome where I discovered that they didn?t deducted the points I was using as a silver member. Staff unfriendly, shouldn?t I have noticed the mistake I would have been charged the room at the extra price and point taken at the sane time (17/02/2024 evening)3. Room: Bed was comfortable but very noisy place until late night. Hair-dryer didn?t work, phone to reception didn?t work. Acrylic nails found underneath bedside table.4. 18/02/2024 Morning. Complaint in front desk reception about being charged the room at the original price without deducting the points. Some staff came ( maybe manager? as no badge on sight). He was defensive and no apologetic at all but to putting the blame on us as that we don?t know how to use the hairdryer or phone (this was disconnected).Peter in reception was helpful and professional. I can?t say the same from the manager. Who wasn?t apologetic but defensive.Very poor information about how to use Alexa that apparently was connected to reception while main phone was not working.Very poor experience overall.5. Advertised as having restaurant. We were told there is no restaurant from covid times, still advertised as having restaurant (shocking)Not recommendedPoorly managed and filthy place not to the standards accor group Mercure is. Filthy rooms feels dirty.Very poor management and professionalism. Please don?t bother to write back (management) we don?t wan?t to hear anything from this filthy place. Replies are very false anyway?Food & drinks: No restaurant and bar deserted

Stayed here on Friday 9th February. Me my wife and daughter were kept up all night due the the pub below playing loud music till early hours. We spoke to reception the next morning where we were told that the music should have gone off by 22:30. My daughter had a competition the next morning but due to us been kept up till around 02:30 ruined her day due to been very tired.Food & drinks: Chosen high-tech because they had WiFi good about of places to eat around the hotel

This is definitely the strangest room I have had the honour of staying in. Having to go through a corridor with both a short flight of stairs and abrupt 90 degree bend to get the bathroom from the room (this was a private corridor within the confines of my room). Truely incredible, will stay again.

So unfortunately when I booked my room I only booked because I was staying there for a concert but when I booked they failed to tell me that there was an underground nightclub below it that blares music till 3:30am now if I?m correct u stay in a hotel to sleep not to be able rave in ur room ON THIRD FLOOR till stupid o?clock in the morning I fell asleep at 4am and then woke up at 7am because of how creeky the floorboards are in the place so you can hear every footstep going up and down the corridor, Yh it?s an old building but at nearly £200 a night u would think they could at least put the money into upgrading the building as even the bathroom was absolutely tiny couldn?t even fit in the shower properly I have had better rooms and better facilities for a cheaper price hell I only stayed in a hotel last month where it was £125 realy nice room big bed and it even had a shower and a bath in the bathroom. only good thing about this hotel was how close it was the arena we went

Not worth the price paid. Location is great but standard of the hotel cleanliness is very low.
