“The greatest asset for McColls store on Broxtowe Lane are the staff. They are all really friendly, helpful & efficient. The company should be really proud of them. A good range of products from newspapers through to groceries that are just what you need. Prices might be a tad high but this more than made up for by the people working there. Plus there is a Post Office which is a magnificent addition. Especially as the nearest bank has recently closed. Again, the PO is brilliantly run singlehandly. Providing a first class service. Queues may seem long at busy times but they move pretty quickly. During the hot summer months the staff suffer from terrible heat conditions because of the glaring sun & no air conditioning. Unsung heroes manning their stations even during the height of the pandemic.”

“Sami and Bali who run Ironville Post Office are always so friendly and helpful and recently went above and beyond expectations in helping me to post an urgent parcel that required Special Delivery, after I'd been told by another post office a couple of miles away that it was too late. I managed to rush back to them and Sami ensured my parcel was collected. I really can't thank them enough. They also give so much to their local community, amongst other things, donating and helping to co-ordinate food donations during the Covid lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. I really can't sing their praises enough. They are a credit to the Post Office and the community is lucky to have them.”

“For a good French meal at reasonable price you can’t beat this well established restaurant in Sherwood. I always enjoy my visits here. The portions are good size, well presented with quick and efficient service. My meal this evening was coq au vin at £15.95. It’s always best to book as it can be busy especially at the weekends. The service good, the space is comfortable with nice atmosphere when busy. I shall definitely return.”
