We were going for afternoon tea and when we went to the hotel we went to the reception and no one was there, we rang the doorbell 4 times and no one approached, we waited over 20 mins in the reception and no one ever come to attend us. We went the 2nd time thinking it was a coincidence and same thing happened, no one approached. We went into the restaurant to seek help and the manager were very rude, shouting at my family and I without any explanation. We will not coming back and we advice everyone to avoid this hotel. Apoling service

Absolutely ideal place to stay, rooms were decent and dog friendly, stayed 2 nights and had the breakfast which was decent enough. The little pub attached is really quite charming with good set of beers on tap. Bed were comfy and staff really welcoming. would stay

Lovely hotel in a really great location. On the same street as Nottingham Contemporary and the National Justice museum and round the corner from the City of Caves.A bar on site and excellent condition and decor.Only slight downside was a lack of temperature control in the room and it was on the warm side for me.

Food & drinks: We enjoyed a great and very tasty afternoon tea at the Lace Market Hotel. We were looked after by exceptionally attentive and friendly staff from the moment we stepped through the door of the hotel. The chef came out into the dining area to get feedback from everyone individually on their thoughts and suggestions for any improvements. - this added to the feeling that they wanted everyone to have the best experience possible ( even though it was not overly expensive).Definitely an experience to repeat.

Stayed in a cozy double. Very snug but really what more do you need? Rooms do look a little tired, however, they?re reasonably priced, there?s a convenient pub for drinks next door that serves pizza 24 hours to you room and the room was clean. Bed was comfy and I slept well. There was an extractor fan outside the window that didn?t bother me as I like a bit of white noise but it did wake others in my party up. Overall I would recommend as it?s a convenient location.

We had afternoon tea. Served by a lovely guy called Carl who was extremely attentive. The presentation of the food was attractive freshly made and very tasty. Cristine the chef came round to the table to ask if everything was ok and asked our opinion on the food. She explained that the food was all freshly made by hand. The scones were delicious and all the cakes were very nice. I would highly recommend the afternoon tea.

I stayed in the suite for my wedding, staff were friendly and accommodating. Changed bedding and provided extra towels on request. Staff at breakfast upon hearing it was my wedding day, went above and beyond to make sure my wedding party and I were well catered for. Very cosy and relaxed atmosphere, would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone needing a Nottingham city centre hotel.

We had a voucher for an afternoon tea at this hotel. We booked well in advance and ordered one normal and one gluten free afternoon tea. Having arrived in Nottingham (we live an hour?s drive away) I had a phone call about two hours beforehand saying the sandwiches would be gluten free but not the cakes. I am gluten intolerant so I said ok but if I was coeliac we would have had to cancel- this should have been established when we booked!Having said that, both the food, the Prosecco (including a refill) and the service were amazing. The staff were really cheerful and helpful. But they should not accept a booking for gluten free if they cannot deliver. I have coeliac friends and this would have ruined our day out.

Beautiful hotel, delicious food and a super warm welcome. Thank you, Anastasia, Ademav and everyone who made our time in your place unforgettable. I especially appreciate your help with my dog. Highly recommend visiting for a stay or event.

Afternoon tea was fantastic. Fresh and varied sandwiches and cakes with as much tea or coffee as wanted. Topped off with a glass of prosecco. Our waiter Ademav was very attentive and polite. I'd recommend afternoon tea at the lace market hotel. My only little issue was the music. A little loud and not fitting with afternoon tea. Maybe play more mellow jazz music.

Visited The Lace Market Hotel yesterday for Afternoon Tea with my Granddaughter, which was a present for her 30th birthday. When we arrived we were greeted by Carl who took us to our table which was decorated with Happy Birthday confetti and was a lovely touch. There was a good selection of sandwiches and cakes which were all fresh and very tasty. Carl was very pleasant and provided an excellent service always making sure that we had everything we needed. Afternoon Tea at The Lace Market Hotel is definitely a must and we will be back.
