Fast efficient service of my bike today from Halfords on Nuthall Road Nottingham. Tobias(i think that was his name sorry)was particularly good as he kept me updated on everything that was needed to fully repair my bike,can't praise him highly enough.

Had a silver service completed on my bike. Poor communication with me to let me know it was done. Incomplete work as bike was not even wiped down. I have photos of pre and post service showing cob webs and dirt in usual places. Only way to contact store is via national customer support as insufficient staff work in store to take calls. Staffing is too far stripped back to assist frustrated in store customers as witnessed by me. A fight almost broke out with staff and a customer who had been waiting for a long time to be served. Inconvenience for me to have to attend store to find out how my service was coming along. Following service parts were put onto my bike that I had. It agreed with. My old but working components were removed but not returned to me. Working shimano cassette and derailire were not returned to me. Overall verdict poor service and theft of my working parts removed from my bike. Avoid Halfords bike servicing and repairs

I?ve now had the exact same frustrating experience twice with two different Halfords stores.
First, I ordered a simple tube of carbon assembly paste from the Netherfield store. The website showed it in stock, so I placed the order. I received a confirmation email telling me it was ready to collect. Then, someone called me to say it actually wasn?t in stock after all. Their explanation?
?It must have been shoplifted off the shelf.?
I found that a bit weak, but fair enough?once.
So I tried again, this time with the Nuthall store. Same process: I placed the order, got an email confirming it was ready to collect, and then?six minutes later?another email saying the item wasn?t in stock. A while after that, they phoned me to confirm it?s not available. When I asked why I was able to order it in the first place, guess what the explanation was?
?It must have been shoplifted off the shelf.?
So now it?s obvious: that?s their standard excuse. A stock answer?pun intended?that shifts the blame onto some imaginary shoplifter, rather than admitting their inventory system is broken.
The core problem is bigger than a missing product:
There?s no way to speak to a human before ordering?only an AI phone system that blocks you at every turn.
The online stock system is unreliable and not linked to what?s actually on the shelves.
The people responsible for this mess are untouchable, while store staff are left to deliver scripted apologies.
This isn?t just poor service. It?s a company that has intentionally removed all the safeguards that would stop this happening. I don?t appreciate being misled or lied to?twice.
Be warned: if you order something from Halfords because it says ?in stock,? be prepared for a follow-up email?or call?saying it was ?shoplifted.? And no way to verify anything until it?s too late.

Paid for yellow bike, next day they changed it by themself for black, different model saying that yellow is not in stock(error), store had ordered different bike, after a couple of days it was in store, I asked to build it, and wanted to pay for it at store, made few calls to do that, they needed another couple of days for it (it's 20 min job) after another week collected a bike-in a box! Shocking experience avoid that place, not competentive staff, customer experience below 0.

Went into Halford, Nuthall Road today and asked a simple question ? unfortunately had to deal with a staff member named Tyler. He was unhelpful, clearly not interested in assisting, and came across as miserable throughout the interaction. Really disappointing level of customer service. Expected better from a well-known company

Closest Halfords to me however even if it wasn?t I?d still go here. For some reason this is the only Halfords near me where I can order something online and pick up the same day. However Parking can be abit annoying because there?s not many spots.
