“Really great experience here today. To customer service. Store was due to close in ten minutes, but the two members of staff who helped me were really pleasant and cheerful! They knew where the product that I needed would be as it had been moved. The tall chap with dreads and a lovely smile served me at the till, and Clyde, whose was so helpful, offered to carry the heavy bags of coal out to my car! “Went here as we have been renovating and its slowly time to get our rooms in place! Have come back with some great ideas to help us with our home. The cafe/restaurant was good, plenty of food options and very cheap! We had some sweet treats, coffee and hot chocolate all for £6.50!! The hot drinks were tasty as well. “I’ve recently ordered and had delivered a writing bureau from this branch of Betel furniture and I couldn’t be happier with it! I’ve not visited the shop and I’m not likely to, only because I live in Wales, but I placed an online order. The staff were quick to respond to an email I sent with a query before buying the writing bureau and were helpful. The pictures on the website were an accurate representation too.I appreciated that Betel used a smaller business for the delivery, as the writing bureau turned up great and wasn’t at all damaged. The delivery people were nice too.I really like the ethos behind Betel, of restoring old furniture (rather than buying new, much more characterful) and supporting their worthwhile causes. As an online customer I can well recommend Betel to others ?”

“I have visited this store several times over the past few months, and overall, my experience has been positive. The store is consistently clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The shelves are tidy, and the aisles are free from clutter, which makes the shopping experience comfortable and stress-free. The staff are always polite, approachable, and genuinely willing to help. Whenever I have needed assistance, whether it’s finding a product or asking about availability, I’ve been met with friendly and attentive service.

One of the main reasons I keep coming back is the pleasant atmosphere and the sense of order in the store. However, I have noticed a recurring issue: not all the items on my shopping list are always available. On more than one occasion, I have had to leave without finding a few things I needed. For example, during my most recent visit, I couldn’t find something as simple as regular potting soil for flowers. While this may seem minor, it can be a little inconvenient, especially when you expect basic items to be in stock.

That being said, I appreciate that stock levels can fluctuate, and I understand that supply issues can happen in any store. It would just be wonderful if the range of products was more consistently complete. This would save customers from having to make extra trips to other shops.

Despite this, I still enjoy shopping here and will continue to do so. The cleanliness, orderliness, and excellent customer service make it a pleasant place to shop. With a little improvement in product availability, I think this store could easily become a go-to destination for everything I need in one stop.”

Kathryn was very good—professional, hardworking, polite, and clear in her explanations. She helped us secure an out-of-stock blind, which we really appreciated.

Jordan was just fantastic. A young and enthusiastic professional, he was friendly, reliable, and quick to resolve any issues. Although one piece of the blind was initially missing, he promptly sorted it out and took the time to teach me how to install the blinds. Thank you.

“My husband and my family have always enjoyed popping into Hopewells, my parents bought their furniture dating back to the 70’s and it lasts and lasts.Everything is so individual and they have a nice little rooftop cafe too. (The outside bit would look even better if they did it up as it has great views)We had a lovely new mattress last year as we were fed up of buying mattresses that just don’t last or aren’t comfy.We bought a really nice floor lamp that looks great and a couple of rugs too.We wanted a couple of new knives and table mats so in the end picked up three colourful knives that work really well and some nice table mats.The staff are helpful and friendly and we would definitely recommend the shop.”

“Everything you need in one store its brilliant love how much choice there is avaliable but unfortunately the only downside was how rude the staff were at the tills, no smiles, no hellos I even helped her empty the basket and she huffed at me and she couldn't even look at me it made us feel disappointed at the end.”

“Today i went to Castle Boulevard Argos to return an item that i had collected a few hours before, this was an extension wire. Drew served me, and gave me various safety hazard tips which i did not know before, in regards to extension wires and what we can/can't plug into them. He informed me that we shouldn't plug in a heater plug into an extension wire as it is a fire hazard: and that for other items, we should invest in a surge extension wire, which when i came home, straight away i ordered. I have strictly warned everyone at home that they should not plug in their heaters in an extension wire. Thank you very much Drew for the advice and tips. Even though it was very busy, Drew took his time in explaining everything to me. So nice of him! Very nice and helpful!”

“Just had my two sofa's delivered this morning, very early and on a Sunday which was brilliant.
Sofa are beautifully made and we are very happy as always with DFS.
Getting them in the room was a little tricky but thankfully I think we must have had the best two guys on the job Luke and Leon. The guys were patient and polite but it wasn't easy due to the length of the sofa's. Not a wrong word spoken to each other as they struggled but eventually as they are the experts they did it.
Perfect buy from DFS and perfect delivery from Luke and Leon.
Most definitely will recommend.”

“We bought from SCS previously (some 7 years ago) and never experienced an issue with the quality of the sofa, so we described to go with SCS again. This time we visited the Nottingham branch and their service was excellent, the team are really friendly and they’ve even arranged a sofa for us to use in the interim whilst our new one is being manufactured, as our old sofa is now with a family member. Would definitely recommend using SCS given the experience so far.”

“We've just had our new kitchen supplied and fitted by East Midlands Kitchens. At the beginning, Gerry, the owner came out to us to measure up and quote for the job, he was very professional, knew what he was doing and talked us through various designs which he later had drawn up to give us an idea at what our kitchen would look like. He never pressured us into making any decisions and took on board any ideas or changes we thought of, which was a big factor in why we chose East Midlands Kitchens. Once we had agreed everything, Gerry set the ball rolling and sorted everything out from, ripping out, knocking through walls, electrician, plumber, plasterer, flooring, from start to finish we were kept informed of the progress and what was going to happen next. Bob the kitchen fitter is a great character and excellent at his job, as was his apprentice Liam, they were always on time and did great work, nothing was too much trouble as long as they had a cup of tea to hand lol. All in all, myself and my wife couldn't be happier that we chose EMK and the final result just goes to show we chose right.
