We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We phoned at short notice to get a table, not expecting to with how popular it is. They shuffled a few things round and managed to fit us in. The food is delicious, the staff are very warm and welcoming and the pub itself is very pretty. A perfect Sunday lunch experience.

The food is just outstanding. The staff were polite & attentive, the village setting extremely pleasant. Clean & tidy. Top marks. Have the sticky toffee pudding if you go it?s just amazing! Thank you staff!

Chose the halloumi ciabatta with salad. It was exceptional. Best bread I have tasted in ages, plenty of halloumi. Would recommend.

Both of us had a Roast pork Sunday lunch and rate it the best we have eaten this year. Great service from the staff and the bill came to less than £40 including drinks. Happy to leave a £5 tip thoroughly deserved. No wonder all the tables were full. We will be back soon!

Had lunch here midweek- good jacket potato and ciabatta and at reasonable prices. Service was ok but could have been more proactive

I have just visited the pub on Sunday with my partner and her sons for a brilliant Sunday lunch at the Durham Ox pub. we were looked after by a very attentive chap and his customer service interaction was absolutely brilliant and with an element of humour which is great for the customer. The food, services, value for money was excellent. Would i go back an absolute yes.
