We visited the DFS Nottingham store and unfortunately had a poor experience that has left us disappointed. I would advise only using the store to view sofas in person, then making your purchase online instead.
We were mis-sold sofas, and when we raised the issue, the branch manager dragged out the investigation process. We were told that the sales team remembered our exact conversation from three months prior?a claim we found questionable. The issue appeared to stem from very similar colour choices, which we pointed out, but we were still blamed for not double-checking the confirmation email. This was despite being told by two different staff members at the time of purchase that once the order was submitted, nothing could be changed?something they later denied saying.
We also verbally confirmed the sofa colour we wanted, yet still ended up with the wrong one and were told the error was ours.
If you order online, you?re not subjected to upselling pressure, you pay the same price, and you?re far more likely to receive exactly what you intended. Regrettably, our in-store experience was misleading and unhelpful.

My partner and I were out looking at sofas at the weekend. When we went to DFS they had to open the automatic doors manually and we were greeted in my opinion not in a great manner ? is everything ok we close in 10 minutes? not something you expect from a sales person. This made us feel like we didn?t want to look around at all so we just walked out. Now we arrived at around 1750 however just before we went to FV next door around 1740 not only were FV welcoming they
helped us with our queries they also were offering us a coffee regardless of them finishing in ?20 mins? happy to say we have now purchased our sofa from FV!

Had my sofa for 18 months. There is a fault with the leather peeling. The insurance I took out will not cover me. Guardsman say it's a manufacturer fault and referred me back to DFS. DFS say it's wear and tear and say that it's sweat from the body and won't do anything about it. They say that I need to pay to have it fixed. Just been into Nottingham to request my insurance money back since it's not fit for purpose to have the line manager say he can't do anything for me because it was a Web order. Got on the phone to DFS customer service and they advised me Nottingham is the help centre for when things go wrong. Clearly no one knows what job they are supposed to be doing and just phob you off. The Nottingham manager just read from script, not helpful one bit and provided an adolescent response. Disgusting and shocking aftercare.

Bought a sofa from here with a clicking arm rest. The ignored the report of this so I made a claim through the insurance they sold me. The claim was accepted but this was 6 months ago and still no movement. If you?re considering buying insurance from DFS, please make them write down how long repairs take, do not be tricked like I was. They are now saying it could be another two months, thst will be 8 months to fulfil a claim.

Made me take out an expensive policy but won't cover any claims made. Will never ever buy from them again, I'd shop elsewhere.

The store is ok, but the range is very dated. Bulky furniture, not really suitable for contemporary interiors.

Just had my two sofa's delivered this morning, very early and on a Sunday which was brilliant.
Sofa are beautifully made and we are very happy as always with DFS.
Getting them in the room was a little tricky but thankfully I think we must have had the best two guys on the job Luke and Leon. The guys were patient and polite but it wasn't easy due to the length of the sofa's. Not a wrong word spoken to each other as they struggled but eventually as they are the experts they did it.
Perfect buy from DFS and perfect delivery from Luke and Leon.
Most definitely will recommend.

Fantastic staff and decided to go for the ted baker high end option expecting superior quality. Don?t bother. Evidently my sofa has had no quality inspection. It looks like a a child has made it. Delivered with a hole and lines within the material. Then after complaining having to wait two weeks for some one to come and check my issues.
No e mails or correspondence from dfs advising their corrective actions.
Watch this space.
After no apology and the store manager not honouring a discount a second replacement sofa was sent.
They advised that this would be inspected pre delivery.
Although this was better, still not worth the money, scuffs holes and misaligned assembly lead us to reject this sofa also again.
four months later, no apology no discount in store.
Be careful who who buy from.
Do not buy a Ted Baker Sofa from DFS

I will not recommend DFS to anyone.

Prices are in the middle, great customer service though, advertisements are easy to read, as a person with ADHD and autism, quite calm, not really busy. Overall quite nice.

We went into this branch today and we were greeted by a very nice young lady named Libby. Libby new all about the DFS range of sofas and we made a purchase. We would recommend Libby.
