Absolutely disgraceful company. Wanted us to live in a damp/mouldy apartment due to lack of action on repeated water coming from the apartment above and when we left they wanted to charge us for the clean up of the mould, claiming it was for the bathroom and kitchen even though we had left them spotless. If they had competent staff they might have been aware mould is the landlord's responsibility in these instances. We were also sent rude and threating emails when we said we disagree with the deposit deductions and will be taking further action. Avoid these scumbags.

Avoid anything that you need to deal with countrywide. They are breaching contract. Personally they give me wrong type of contract to avoid protecting my deposit. I can't wait to take them to court so they could admit gilt

The flat above mine which is managed by country wide repeatedly had a leak which caused damage to my flat below. The previous agents had this fixed within a few days, but it has been over 9 months correspondence (or lack of) from country wide who just tell me to contact my insurance. It is the upstairs landlord who need to go through their insurance, they are just trying to avoid paying or dealing with the issue. Absolutely disgraceful customer service and poor communication from John Skipsy the portofolio manager.

Landlord for 9 years with Frank innes and countrywide. Over the last 12 month's I have seen a decline in service. Calls to head office are not answered. Phones just ring. Emails not responded too. 5 separate portfolio managers have emailed me about the same matter and everytime I response with yes go ahead with quote and repairs. Seems a problem with internal commuication and team members leaving or on leave. Tenants aren't happy with responsiveness either, where countryside then blame the landlord for not responding, which is simply not the case. I basically fully manage the property myself.

Zero Star. They carried out Fire Assessment without my authorisation. They apparently sent me a letter and email. They have no proof. However they entered the property without my permission and carried out the works. They have charged me for this works, failed to prove they sent me letter or email. I have no choice but to take this to small claims court to get a full refund.Beware aware of the Mansfield office. Take ages to reply to emails. Poor customer service. Will not be using Countrywide ever again !

This letting agency is a disgrace.We rented a property and upon moving in the property had clearly not been professionally cleaned as it stated, it was uninhabitable and absolutely disgusting. We had to pay £180 for someone to come out to professionally clean all the carpets, sofa and oven as they were unusable because of how filthy they were. The bed frame was smashed to bits and completely unusable, the mattress so yellow and smelled so bad we had to throw it outside. The check in inventory said everything was in 'good condition' which it was clearly not! On advise from a staff member we wrote notes on every page of our check in inventory about the details when we moved in.Upon moving out of this property they are now trying to charge £150 worth for 'cleaning' when we left the property in an improved state than when we moved in.Communication has been extremely poor and I am highly disappointed with this company, disgusting service and I will be taking them to court over the return of our deposit as it has been two months since we moved out. Do not rent from this letting agent!
