I came to this branch specifically because the Nottingham location ? where I had amazing pancakes ? had closed. I was genuinely excited to have the same great experience again, but this visit was a major disappointment.
The pancakes were undercooked and doughy, completely drenched in syrup, and the bananas were raw and carelessly tossed on the plate. We couldn?t even finish them ? they were that bad.
When I told the staff the dish wasn?t good, they casually replied, ?Yeah, the chef is different from the one in Nottingham,? as if that explained everything. No apology, no offer to remake the dish, and no concern about the poor quality.
If you?re going to completely change the recipe and lower the standard, at the very least change the name of the dish, update the description, or inform your customers. Using the same name for a completely different (and worse) version is misleading.
This felt like a totally different restaurant hiding behind a familiar name. Disappointing food, careless service, and no accountability. I won?t be coming back. ? You can clearly see the difference between the two plates

Really like this place and staff are so friendly. But the prices are outrageous. Scrambled eggs and bacon sandwich and iced coffee was 15 pounds. Quite expensive for lunch!
