Would urge anyone to stay away from these thieves, had various fraudulent transactions on my account. Reported it to them and they?ve taken the scammers side. Reported the matter to Action Fraud who?ve confirmed it?s not the first time Capital One has done this, be aware and exercise extreme caution when taking out one or more of their products. I?ve cancelled both my accounts with them.

CAPITAL ONE - NO PROTECTION OFFERED UNDER SECTION 75. AVOID THEM TO BE SAFE.CAPITAL ONE failed to give me any protection under Section 75 of the CCA. They blatantly disregarded all of the evidence I provided them with a £649 Section 75 claim. They offer no consumer facing customer service for Section 75 disputes. You are stuck in a queue and have to wait until they decide to email you back then if you're not happy they throw you out to the Financial Ombudsman. Their senior management staff will also igore and fail to reply to any letters you send them. Their staff make promises which are not kept such as promises of call backs which never happen. Capital One are not fit for purpose and lack any duty of care for their customers.

I applied for a 0% balance transfer credit card through Capital One and it's the worst mistake I've ever made. After being stated as "pre-approved" and being approved through the online process, all I got from this company in return was an incorrectly applied CIFAS VM2 (Victim of Impersonation) marker on my credit report. The application was initially reported as potentially fraudulent, but even after going through the process to confirm it wasn't, there with no formal communication telling me it had been declined. Very poor and now this CIFAS marker is on my credit report for 13 months, even though there was no impersonation fraud. It's going to cause unnecessary delays with future credit applications thanks to Capital One.

Refuse to offer me an increase in my credit limit after owning the card 3+ years, using it frequently & never missing a payment. Customer service is awful, don?t give you straight answers & make you wait for hours on hold. The app does not have half the functionality a credit card app should have. The only positive about capital one is their balance transfer offers but in hindsight I?d still choose a different bank.

Told me they can't do a chargeback because I refused delivery of the goods. Literally no law ever states that is the case, they'll just lie through their teeth so they don't have to do anything.

Great service - they have always answered the phone quickly when I called and the representatives have been excellent, they are a credit card company and I have been with them for years.They are dependable, always efficient and this last couple of years (in this pandemic), they have been really good - way better than a lot of companies when using the phoneI spoke with a fellow called Devanshu today and he was very professional, did everything we needed to do super efficiently, he's a credit to the companyFive Stars Capital One

Hey, you would expect a company like this to help their clients/customers out with freezing the interest and charges why the virus is about and the government have asked everyone to stop working. I had emailed them and they was not bothered one bit, they said pay on time or pay the charges and interest. I will not be using this company anymore and I would suggest everyone does the same. Other bigger companies do understand the issue and are helping individuals out who have been told not to work and do not have money coming in. Maybe all capital one customers should break the rules from the government and go out to work to prevent these large interest rates from happening.
