We are new to West Bridgford and have heard so much about Birds Bakery. We tried their famous Carmel doughnut, iced coffees, and raspberry pistachio croissant. Everything was so delicious and fresh, you can tell it was all homemade. The cream in the doughnut was to DIE for. The staff were all so lovely, welcoming, and the atmosphere felt so homey. We cannot wait to be regular visitors. Thank you WB Birds Bakery! ??

Before the glow up birds west b was the only spot on that end of the high street to pop in w your dog to get a pastry on lunch. Now completely non dog friendly? why the change.

We were so looking forward to revisiting Birds having seen it had been redesigned. We used to go every week when it was a proper cafe years ago. How disappointed were we when we found even now with the new updates that you still have to eat out of a paper bag as no plates are given. You have to ask if you want them to butter your very dry scone. Why sell such things if you don?t provide a knife and some butter? It used to be such a lovely place to meet. We won?t be going again.

They cancelled an order which was to be collected 10 min before the collection time stated. They said I had failed to collect , but i was in fact standing outside the shop at the correct time , but the shop had closed early .

Used to really like the cafe but now they say it isn't a tea room, still charge more for eating in but there's no plates or real cutlery. Also sometimes in the afternoon there's basically nothing available, look ready to close up early.
Gone downhill a lot (part of the rebrand?), seems to want to be more inkeeping with Greggs now

No cup or plate. Difficult for elderly lady to hold paper cup. Just not enjoyable like it used to be

The best treats. You get what you pay for compared to greggs. Also we're lots of free samples to try

It is with deep sadness that l say that I shall not be supporting Birds by buying their goods any longer. It seems that a lot of their foods, including caramel doughnuts, contain palm oil. I have difficulty in understanding how this can be justified as an ingredient in freshly baked goods.

What has happened to this place? Went in today for the first time in years as all other cafes were full ...wish I hadn't bothered. Miserable, rude staff, awful cheap coffee. What used to be a lovely, homely cafe is now basically another version of Greggs. ie: cheap and tacky. Big mistake to get rid of the serving area too. Avoid at all costs. Dreadful.

Cheerful staff but hygiene not always acceptable.
The food when eating in, is served in a paper bag, with drinks in a paper cup.
Not expensive, but very basic seating area.

A very big thank you to Sarah and her team for saving the day here at Porsche Centre Nottingham. She came in early to prepare a large, very last minute order! She?s a credit to the company and we will definitely be returning to Birds Bakery in West Bridgford due to her excellent service and food.

Very disappointed what they have done to the place

I didn't realise they had closed the café counter at the back. Big mistake. Service is just so chaotic now, I waited for 10 min whilst the two ladies were helping over in the café side. No clear queue sign so people just congregate around. I decided to leave and go to Greggs. It's a shame as it was one of my fav spots in West Bridgford.
