Broke down in my car and spent much of the evening here. Unto this day have management and security helped me source recovery for my broken car. Top notch for housing the refugees also. God blessed hotel perfect for motorway rest plus cans of pop. Breakfast also - I wouldn't say no.

Closed to the public...just when I need a room . All though people are staying there ?..what?s going on ? Informed migrants have taken over .

Don?t bother booking this hotel!!!!! You can?t trust that you will have a booking as our booking has just been cancelled. This is even after I called the hotel directly to reconfirm. I am so angry please don?t risk staying here.

We had a booking for 24th25th sep and they rang and cancelled it three days before saying they wanted the hotel exclusivly to them selves, we had booked specially for my daughters birthday, and had the ballet booked as a special treat, we were left with three days in which to find a place to stay and cost us twice the price at short notice, absolutly disgusted!!! Never book with them again thats for sure

Booked with holiday extras, overnight accommodation with 2 weeks parking at East Midlands airport for £74.70 which is a great deal as it was more for just parking alone. The hotel just off M1 motorway and a short drive to the airport with plentiful free parking. Reception staff friendly as we booked in and went to our large en-suite room with comfy bed and free fast WiFi. A short drive away there is plenty of pubs and restaurants as the onsite opposite eatery is shut but the hotel are offering meals in a makeshift area.

Were booked in for two rooms, part of a family get together. They cancelled on us with only a week to go. We cannot find anywhere else so our family get together, first in about 2 years or more is ruined. Very feeble apology. Claiming government using the place. I do not believe this. I think they filled up and our booking was a good price and they could get more from a booking made nearer the time. Either way we are left in the lurch with a very feeble apology. Not even a voucher to offer so much off a next visit to a best western as a way to recompense us for our troubles. Nothing. Am absolutely disgusted. I work in the industry and know how customers should be treated. This is not the way.

Absolutely disgusted, just had an upcoming stay in November cancelled as they want to use the hotel to rehouse Afghan refugees! It doesn't matter that we booked months in advance, that this has been planned for a year they obviously don't care about their usual customers. We normally come here once to twice a year but won't be returning again now as it's been made clear our custom isn't appreciated or needed. I'm all for helping the refugees but not to shove everyone else to one side. We will no longer be giving our custom and money to any Best Western

When we arrived we git the offer of someone to carry our bags to breakfast in the morning all the staff are very helpful l and always on hand if needed. I can't wait to go back next year but I'm going to try and get to stay a bit longer amazing hotel.

Had to change rooms 4 times.Bed linen ok but the mattress and mattress cover were disgusting except for fourth roomI would suggest anyone staying should check.Staff great and apologeticWill think twice before using them again

friendly and welcoming staff at reception, rooms are large however the rooms are dated and some lightbulbs needed replacing. There is not much noise from the motorway but that is only if you keep the triple glazed shut. The TV would only give selected channels with ITV C4 and C5 not on the selection. Food was OK with quite a selection.

Lovely hotel very clean, staff very friendly. Beds are comfortable ( I don't normally sleep well due to pain, but I had a 3 great night's sleep). My only grip was that we had a disabled access room which was lovely and big but the toilet was very low (not a disabled raised toilet) and the shower was in a bath so was no good if you can't get in the bath. The rooms are warm but we left the bathroom window open to let a breeze in and the road noise was not too bad. I would stay here again and would recommend it.

Fantastic stay... Dietary requirements were catered for at breakfast and dinner. Great quality food too.Friendly and welcoming staff were very accommodating of any specific requirements.There was no air conditioning in our room but there were fans in the room to help. Still a very warm room. Towels supplied were too small to use after showering.Very easy access to Alton Towers resort
