I?m writing to express my disappointment following a recent Click & Collect experience at this store.
On 11/07/25 I placed an online order for a pool, choosing the Click & Collect option. I received confirmation that it was ready for collection, and on 11/07/25, I drove over an hour from near Oakham with my children, who were very excited about this purchase.
However, on arrival, I was simply told, ?Sorry, this is not available.? No prior notice, no alternative offered ? just an apology from the staff who explained that the manager had already left. I was also told someone tried to call me while I was already driving, which isn?t sufficient ? a situation like this should have been flagged and resolved before the collection time.
This caused over 2 hours of wasted travel, frustration, and most upsettingly, deep disappointment for my children. I strongly feel that your stock management system needs to be better aligned with the online ordering platform to avoid this kind of experience. Customers should not be notified last minute ? especially after receiving a collection confirmation.
I hope this feedback will help improve future service and ensure no other family has to go through this.

I had fabulous service all round from B and Q from great communication after placing a click and collect order to the outstanding service in store from Denise Ann who went out of her way to help me find another item that fitted the shade I bought. Thank you Denise Ann - you made my experience of shopping at B and Q Netherfield the cherry on the cake

Came out of my way to go to B&Q to buy something that Google had said b and q stocked but it turns out they now sell other peoples products online and not in store. No staff to be seen for 20 mins to ask and when I did they were really unfriendly.

B and Q us alway good for all sorts off products, from a full kitchens fitting service to all your DIY and professional trade needs! Very helpful staff can answer your questions and point you in the right direction if needed! We only nipped in to look for ideas, designs, and styles on a new kitchen! Found it very helpful! Thanks

Poor service from all staff encountered including manager. They are more interested in being right than listening to the customer. I will not be returning to this store or company, I would rather spend mu money on elsewhere. Shame that they had to loose business over their poor attitude.
