Had a bad experience with argos went and bought a 60in television and delivery service for Sunday 25th February .11am Sunday received a text from argos to say their was an issue and cancelled my delivery and would refund my money back in 5 working days, so I went back to argos to find out why, after some time on the phone one of the staff said i need to reorder so after paying them again i was given a delivery time between 6 and 10.pm. Sunday 7pm I got a text saying that my order had been dispatched, and would be with me between 8 and 10.pm got another text at 9pm saying that my order had been cancelled,so Sunday i spent most of the day waiting for a delivery that i don't have and waiting for twice as much money to be refunded, i know i will get the money back .but if that's the way argos do business, they won't get mine anymore. very disappointing

Today i went to Castle Boulevard Argos to return an item that i had collected a few hours before, this was an extension wire. Drew served me, and gave me various safety hazard tips which i did not know before, in regards to extension wires and what we can/can't plug into them. He informed me that we shouldn't plug in a heater plug into an extension wire as it is a fire hazard: and that for other items, we should invest in a surge extension wire, which when i came home, straight away i ordered. I have strictly warned everyone at home that they should not plug in their heaters in an extension wire. Thank you very much Drew for the advice and tips. Even though it was very busy, Drew took his time in explaining everything to me. So nice of him! Very nice and helpful!

Tried to return an item today within the 30 day period, item in packaging, unused and with receipt. Unfortunately for me it was Dave the 'manager'. Dave immediately accused me of lying and that the item was used because it had a finger print on it... while holding it in his hands (that was your print Dave). When I pointed out that the tags were still on the item, he then accused me of putting them back on the item. Maybe this is something he would do, but I don't have the time to deceive or lie.He then proceeded to lie to me and say that my item, a fitness watch is excluded from returns like Jewelery. I check with Argos customer service who confirmed this wasn't true.Dave is not competent to be a manager. Check other reviews of similar poor experiences. You have now lost a long standing customer.

If I could give zero I would give zero stars. I will never buy from this shop ever again. From any Argos to be specific. They just want to take money from you by selling faulty items and when they break even if they are still on guarantee they will do everything for your item to not be fixed or replaced. Such a shame on my guarantee card it clearly states that items should be refunded or repaired free of charge. Why Ive been offered then to have it replaced only if I pay 6 pounds on top? You literally breached our contract. This shop need some law suit against them. If anyone want to join a law suit please comment below.

Worst customer service ever.Can get so hard to them and once you get it they just hang up.Update.Just bought a mobile Air condition which suppose to be delivered today .They?re driver and transport department are so unprofessional.They couldn?t manage to deliver the parcel even though our shop is located in city centre and is easily accessible.For the potential customer: don?t rely on they?re delivery option if you need the product ASAP.

My experience today at this Argos Castle Boulevard (Inside Sainsbury's) Nottingham was absolutely appalling and disgraceful. I purchased a vacuum cleaner recently, the quality of suction and other issues was poor. Under The Consumer Rights Act it means any products purchased must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Instead I was being challenged and my rights were infringed, as I was informed they will not refund, nor replace the item and only option was for me to contact the manufacture! or they will take the item and I will have to waite till a diagnostic by manufacturer. I was informed by both Drew the staff member and Dave the Manager.I was repeatedly being told by the staff member Drew and Store Manager Dave to contact the manufacture and that's all they will offer as a service. Despite having a valid receipt. Both staff representing Argos were dismissive and not willing to listen. I challenged both staff about my contract and their responsibility as a retailer, its not for me to approach the manufacturer, they refuted. Saying it was my job!Despite the item being under guarantee and warranty. Apparently this does not apply to vacuum cleaners! what utter nonsense. The manager Dave was insisting the item is not their responsibility, its down to the manufacturer. In addition when I asked for a replacement he said no replacement offered as its not deemed as a essential item.Staff had fobbed me off, I've never come across this level of unprofessionalism and disgraceful customer service before, usually the team are really helpful and kind, this time felt humiliated considering they were adamant in their opinion and I felt as a women they were asserting their authority and position of power to supress me. I had no choice but to leave the store, but was not going to be fobbed off, eventually ended up getting the refund!, as a consumer I would not rush to Argos for electrical items "check the small print" apparently I was meant to read this after my sales purchase item, clearly not informed prior to purchase that I have to contact the manufacturer of any issues even if something has a warranty and guarantee. This is how they fob off their customers and behave after sales.I asked to log my complaint at store and was told go online, I explained to the manager I have a choice to log my complaint via phone, in person and online, he said write a letter to us. I explained the way in which the staff member spoke to me was not courteous it was standoffish from the offset, no smile just grumpy and unpleasant. The manager did not respond at all to this, dismissing it completely.Absolutely appalling and overall poor level of Argos store experience.

Just been refused a refund on a product I purchased AN HOUR AGO that does NOT WORK. Horrid rude lady at the till dismissed me as soon as I said the word return - manager thinks he?s something special. DO NOT SHOP HERE

Argos isn't worth any money. It might be good to hear that u have around a half year to pay back, but I got two phones from there. Both of them stopped working very quickly. The first one was fine couple of weeks, I took care of it because I knew I had to pay for it. Suddenly after couple of weeks it just stop charging. I didn't give up, I just went to the place where they're fixing phones, I paid £35 to fix it.Well, after one week it starts all over again. The second phone I got. Everything was fine, till I left it in the garden for exactly 3 minutes. When I back I saw the black screen, and the phone never turned on again. Now I start thinking that those ,,new phones" are really the refurbished ones. And that's their secret.
