Dropped in today for lunch. Been a while since I last ate at the Prince Rupert. The food was lovely had a selection of small plates, tasty well presented. The halloumi was delicious. Great service from John. The refurb of the venue is brilliant, still got that trad pub vibe. 5/5
Originally built in 1452, the building that houses The Prince Rupert is a true historical gem and is a must-see stop on Newark’s Civil War Trail. The history remains evident throughout with its renovation creating a fantastic pub complete with a terraced beer garden, conservatory and enchanting dining rooms.
A delicious selection of dishes are available for lunch and dinner using fresh local produce from our very own farm! Whether you’re after traditional pub grub, a stonebaked pizza, or something a little different, you’re bound to find something that satisfies.
