We stayed at Deincourt (room 10) for a work function and instantly regretted it. First impressions were it?s very tired and urgently needs a refurb/demolition.
The bedroom furniture was VERY old and only good enough for the skip - I couldn?t bring myself to put my clothes in the drawers. The linen and towels smelt fresh but the pillows were thin and obviously old. One particularly large dusty cobweb hanging from the ceiling was impressive enough for any spider to be proud of.
The small bathroom had an overwhelming smell of mould/damp, the shower cubicle was extremely cramped with a pointless large empty hand-soap dispenser on the wall - however the water pressure was remarkable??seriously like a 100ft waterfall!
The staff were friendly and worked their socks off, however breakfast was a shambles with meals not being brought out in couples/room order, rather a mismatch of whatever the chef wanted to churn out first - however it was hot, fresh and quite decent, as was the continental selection.
The evening meal was forgettable, I haven?t had a meal that bad in many years. The garlic breaded mushrooms were squishy and obviously frozen cr@p from the local Iceland. The rubbery rib eye steak with 50% gristle kept me chewing for an age and the chips were impressively lame.
I wouldn?t normally leave such a strong review but this was not a cheap hotel, at £102 per night, a hostel would have been a better option.

By far one of the worst hotels I?ve stayed in for a long time. Decor straight out of the 1980?s. The hotel is tired and has a feel of management just giving up and admitting defeat.
Food was god awful, I had squid to start. 3 of the smallest pieces you have ever seen, accompanied with a lumpy mayonnaise, which looked a few days old.
Mains was a ribeye steak, I think it was from a cow but an old boot may have been better. The taste of old oil from the chips was unbearable, served with 2 dehydrated mushrooms.
The lady who served me was lovely but other staff need to work on their personal hygiene.
My company paid for my stay, but still left feeling I had been robbed. Please avoid unless the place sorts itself out, the rate quoted is ridiculous for what you are welcomed too. Sort it out Best Western/management.

Staff were kind and helpful. Food was adequate, plain basic food and portions were ok. We had Room 33 which was dreadful, should be avoided and deserves no stars at all.
The owners need to revamp the entire hotel which is tired and dated. No lifts either.
We will not be going there again and are very disappointed with Best Western as a brand.
Rooms: Avoid Room 33 at all costs. Bedroom - bed ok, lack of bedside lamp, fan and heater available, no air con.
Deep step down into the bathroom and tall step up into the shower. No handles so a safety risk. Bathroom very smelly and evidence of damp. Lighting poor too.
Safety: Deep steps up and down in bathroom for room 33 with no grab handles. Lighting broken in bathroom so only a single light in a gloomy room.

Lovely hotel. I have stayed before. Great service. Lovely food cooked fresh. Nice comfortable room. The receptionist Saturday afternoon was great on the phone. Roy is brilliant and obliging. Andrea doing breakfast was great. Other staff good but didn't get their names. A home from home.

Friendly service ,and a enjoyable breakfast ,unfortunately the bed let it down mattress seemed old and very uncomfortable, the pillows were old and dirty and the quilt had seen better days ,bed linen also not very good .....bathroom was clean and shower was nice ...if they were to make changes on the bed ie ,new mattress, new quilt ,new linen it would make it a better stay .

Rooms are clean. But decor and fittings tired, they have a confusing system to order breakfast .You have to fill out a form the night before (why!!). They can?t do a breakfast to order at the table and we ended up with the wrong order.
