Armelle was recommended to me by a High Street jeweller. I took a gold wedding ring and an engagement ring set with three diamonds to her to be made into a new ring. Armelle is very skilled and intuitive. She was brilliant at giving me suggestions in an unhurried way and showing me some examples. I'm quite indecisive and don't have a clue about designing a ring, but Armelle created a beautiful ring which i'm really thrilled with.

Dropped in to enquire about engraving the inside of a tiny bangle. Unfortunately I needed it done very quickly. Whilst it wasnt able to be done quickly enough through Armelle Ellison she was extreemly helpful offering advice and even contact details in order that I could get it sorted quickly.

I took an inherited ring and my wedding band to Armelle to resize and join together into one ring. Armelle has just made two pendants for my daughters aged 7 and 10. The girls were quite specific about what they wanted and required Daisy's with 6 and 7 petals each with their birthstones. The girls really love the pendants and I cannot thank Armelle enough. The workmanship is exquisite and Armelles skill and attention to detail is second to none. With zero notice, Armelle made a beautiful silver Bramley Apple pendant as a surprise for my partner travelling to Japan the next day to work in a British trade fair.After a fruitless hour of searching and phone calls, Armelle replied to a missed call I?d left her at about 12.30 on a Saturday afternoon. I explained the situation and urgency and she got straight to work. I emailed a photo of the shape and asked for it to be ?about the size of a £2 coin, that was as detailed a design brief that she needed.At 4.30 I was in the shop to collect it. A fantastic, great value service that was hugely appreciated. Thank you, the easiest 5 star review imaginable.

I first went into the Gilded Corner to have my wedding ring polished. Before long, we began a conversation about jewellery which revealed Armelle?s knowledge and passion for her trade. In particular we discussed opals. As a result, I commissioned Armelle to make me a fire opal ring. She listened carefully to my ideas for design, then added her own. During the process I was sent design sketches and accurate costings. The ring was completed by the time specified. When I saw it, I was overwhelmed by it?s beauty. It is a very special ring and has been admired by many, including those in the jewellery trade. Armelle is not just concerned about making a sale, she is genuinely concerned with pleasing her clients. She is a very talented jeweller, whom I have no hesitation in recommending.

The Gilded Corner is a fantastic hidden gem in Newark that more people need to know about.For over a year now Armelle has been customising pieces for me and doing fantastic repairs. I have a silver ring that I absolutely love, but I couldn't get on my finger and was looking old and battered. Armelle has been fantastically welcoming and helpful, taking the ring up two sizes so it fits comfortably on my finger and restoring it so that looks brand new.Armelle has some exciting new and modern jewellery available and also does bespoke work, working with you to give you exactly what you want.
