Nice food and friendly helpful staff. As a group of 8, We arrived quite late in the day from a family day out at sherwood pines. They were able to seat us with ease and we enjoyed a Sunday roast aswell as other meals from the main menu. Everyone was full and happy. We would definitely go again . The pub is a little dated but don't let that put you off. It seemed to be a very loved local. Also a small play area outside for the kids which helped when waiting for the food to arrive.

Staff were friendly and service was quick. Unfortunately, the vegetables were overcooked and the meat, while generously portioned, was dry. On the plus side, there?s plenty of free parking.

What an amazing experience we had for Sunday lunch. Carvery was to die for as had 4 meats with as much as u like for £10.50. Bargain. Roast potatoes and yorkies were perfect (let?s face it that?s the litmus test of a quality carvery!!).
Even gave us meat for our 2 dogs. Kids meals were a good size for £3.75 (bargain!) and the pie of the day was a choice of three - steak was fantastic as full to the brim with meat!
7 of us ate with drinks and 5 had dessert for £100 which is for the quality of the food and the service was unbelievable.
Staff were so friendly and made us feel more welcome than any restaurant I?ve ever been to anywhere in the world.

We came here for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. It's a no frills kind of place. The food was really tasty, and so much of it. Carvery style, which I always love. Staff were friendly.

Food was delicious and fresh and didn't take that long to be cooked with a fish bigger than the plate freshly battered and a big chunk of salmon with a nice sauce. The deserts are filling and there's lots of options .

Food and drinks: It's well and truly value for money, the food is lovely and the staff very nice. What let's it down is the sticky tables you eat the lovely food from. I've been several times and this is my only issue. Get the stickiness sorted then it's 10 out of 10.....

The bests carvery for miles, great price and u get loads of meat. We travel 30mins to go for Sunday dinner and we'll worth it
