Service was top notch, friendly staff. Food was really nice & the ?homemade hummus? was amazing, so much so I took the ?little bit? home. Pie was full of meat & the mash, so smooth ?no lumps? & plenty of gravy. Will be back. Thank you

Popped over on Saturday evening as we had driven past it plenty of times . Greated by incredibly friendly staff and such a nice place inside .
Ordered a 3 corse meal and it was fantastic, credit to the chef and all the staff there it is amazing on food and atmosphere.

We came here to spend a night with our campervan. Was no problem at all, super friendly staff and owners. Dog friendly. Great drinks and delicious food. Definitely recommend!

Have wanted to go for sunday lunch for ages ! We arrived early but staff didn't seem to know where to seat us while we waited for our table..
No atmosphere in the pub at all no music on at all would have liked some background music ..
Service was very slow took ages for the starter to arrive.. only 2 staff serving on a busy Sunday isnt optimal really .
Starter was fine decent enough soup but very small amount for £5.95 each.
I specifically chose pork as it mentioned crackling
When it arrived no crackling at all and no one came to ask if we were happy with our meal.
One other gripe there were quite a lot of flys in the restaurant area which was unpleasant
Overall not the experience we expected when paying over £50 for sunday lunch for two !
We will stick to our local in future i think .. reasonable prices and great service there!

Ordered the 3 meat Sunday roast and it was terrible......the service was slow...the coffee arrived luke warm and the meal itself...well....the mash was not real mash and had been microwaved....the meat was not good either and the veg was like rubber.... peas were hard and the carrots were inedible...couldnt cut them or break them with my fingers they just bent like rubber slices.... spent just over £100 for 4 people ....i would advise people to travel that little bit further to the Lord Ted.....amazing food lovely staff and cheaper than this place for an all you can eat sunday carvery with plenty of choice with no hidden costs for cauliflower cheese or extra gravy....I did make a complaint to the young lad that collected our plates and he said he would tell kitchen staff but no one came to see us regarding this issue...not very professional in the slightest wont ever go to The Fox again! Even the reply is not professional it comes over as passive aggressive!! It doesn't matter where the meat comes from or how many potatoes are peeled or where the veg is sourced it's how it's cooked (microwaved is not acceptable)and presented that matters! This is why so many businesses are going under....shame really it's a beautiful pub?

Came here a few months ago and had a lovely dinner,
came back today and what a difference a few months make.
The worst dinner i have ever had, raw carrots, food was only luke warm, beef was never in this world slow overnight roast, it was fatty and tough i had to ask for a steak knife just to cut it.
Had to share the dinner with loads of flies everywhere.
Complained to the serving staff and all they said was ''or ok''.
wont be returning here in a hurry.
what a waste of £40 that was

Visited tonight, we were greeted with a huge smile as soon as we walked in & then the waitress took us to our table, who was equally smiley. Had an amazing burger & vegetable pie. Service was really lovely & food was gorgeous. Very pleasant experience thank you

It was steak night tonight (Wednesday night) we had rump steak which was cooked to perfection with a glass of house wine for £15. It was the best steak I have had. A shame there wasn?t a lot more people in the pub as the food is superb and service excellent.

If I'm honest it was a spur if the moment and went there as read the reviews were all good.
Had to wait an exceptionally long while for what was basic tucker... the meat trio it was called, 3 of the smallest pieces of meat you'll ever see !. Hard carrots enough gravy to cover one slice of carrot, very basic and quite disappointing for all the people there.
Oh well saves me from going again I suppose.

Had a fantastic evening watching Burlesque gig. The place is lovely and staff great, although plates need to be cleared quicker once meal is finished. Also, sadly, they got my order wrong. I ordered fillet steak medium/rare. It came well done. I ordered peas and they never appeared, even though I asked after my meal appeared without them. I hope this can be rectified.
I didn't say anything about the fillet steak at the time, as they were so busy and we had waited till 9pm to receive our main course (from 7.30pm) and so I was quite hungry.
Please don't let this put you off, as it's a great place and hopefully my suggestions will be heard and rectified.
