The receptionist on for tonight was Samuel. Fully polite and professional as soon as me and my girlfriend walked in, and I noticed when I went in the room the shower dispenser was broke, and he was straight there helping ??

Stayed here for four nights in a family room. We chose this Travelodge because of its convenient location near the Peak District, with a large Tesco Express and several fast-food options nearby for a quick breakfast?super handy!
The room was slightly smaller than those in larger Travelodges, but still plenty of space for us and our two children. It was clean, and the hand-held shower in the bathtub was a real bonus for the kids compared to the fixed showers you often find in other hotels. The room is also very quiet at night.
The car park looked small at first glance, but it was actually quite spacious. Even though we arrived late at night, there were still a few spaces available. Parking was free and wide enough for larger vehicles.
Staff were friendly and helpful. We got a hairdryer immediately upon request, and our room was cleaned and restocked after two nights without any hassle. Everything went smoothly!
We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Good value for the money

just avoid.
had a project for the public sector and had to stay 2 nights, and this place is worst of the worst.
1. room had a strong smell of weed and cigarettes with ashes and black spots in the outside of the window.
2. bed was just not smelling nice, felt just stale
3. to pay for wi-fi? is 2025
4. no nets on the windows, got bitten by everything.
5. not slept alone as i could feel spiders in my bed.
6. i think someone was smoking something in one of the rooms creating a strong smell on the coridor.
7. not a decent area, homeless hanging out outside creating an unsafe feeling.
lesson learnt, never again.

Stay couple of days with my family. It's really horrible Paid for internet no internet provided.
Paid for two nights.
Asked for top up and general clean after we left room for the day. Came back tissues left on floor no cleaning at all beds were not done.
No shampoo in dispenser.
No TV worked intermittently.
Bath had never had a good clean black marks slipping on scale slime,disgusting ?.
Male reception Dave for got his manners at home no thank you or please.
Absolutely over charge for below basic services.
No EV charging services and they travelodge charging same prices as Holiday Inn Normanton two mile away..

The staff member I spoke with was nice enough but the two main issues were the fact that when I looked under my bed there was an old jelly sweet on one side and a large empty plastic bottle on the other, so clearly not cleaned correctly. Also, the shower gel was almost completely gone and there was no hand soap. After telling the chap at reception just before I went out for a meal, I got back and the shower gel had been topped up but not the hand soap. I don't feel like it's much to expect, even from a budget hotel. Also, no air con and hair dryer.

In an Emergency situation I was unable to get into the hotel due to Information Governance Rules Protocols!
This was because, even though I was an older person in my sixties crying with grief could not get in as the reception staff explained that They were not able to touch my phone to sign in!
Even though! I was extremely distressed and could not see my own screen through tears and ended up setting myself as could not even access a toilet as I had bank card all details relevant right monies to pay, all details and ended up without anywhere to stay and hours in their for nothing, shattered in physical emotional pain.
Review, for goodness state! Your check in protocols! ESPECIALLY for older and or any vulnerable person
