Visited The Major Oak with friends and family, had a walk through the forest and little picnic on the tables area too, the coffee in the visitor centre was a bit too sweet for my taste but the hot chocolate was good. Many cute shops, especially the pottery painting one!

From Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre
The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre is the gateway to the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. Among the hundreds of ancient oak trees - one of Europe's largest collections - is the iconic Major Oak, the UK's largest oak tree, estimated to be more than 1,000 years old. And, of course, it is also home to the legend of Robin Hood.
