Having taken my Mercedes SLK to a local independent parts supplier/fitter, I was told that they wouldn't be able to fit the new dipped headlamp bulbs, due to the wheels needing to be removed. I have used this company for years, and I must say, I was a little disappointed.
I have always been a little sceptical of large chains, and reluctantly booked with Halfords Mansfield.
The online booking was very easy. I was greated on arrival and seen promptly. The young lady who fitted the bulbs gave exceptional customer service. The whole job was completed within 10 minutes, at a very competitive price.
What really stood out was the service received. On a rather cold a blustery day, it was refreshing to see someone that genuinely seemed to be enjoying her job and customer interaction. A credit to the company, and I will certainly be returning in the future.

Absolutely brilliant customer service! Staff very friendly and helpful. The young person who fitted my headlight bulbs for me was friendly, very quick and efficient. I will certainly be going there again if I need anything else fitted to my car. Thank you Halfords, didn't get the persons name who fitted my bulbs, but he needs to be told "Well done" for his great customer service.

I recently visited Halfords for a pre-booked dashcam fitting appointment, having purchased both the dashcam and fitting service online. While the staff at the till and those who handled my complaint were polite and attentive, the fitter, whose name I believe was Paul, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and customer service.
From the start, Paul?s attitude was unhelpful. He vaguely asked if I "had it," and when I asked him to clarify, he seemed irritated. After I explained that I had purchased the dashcam online, along with the hardwiring kit and memory card, he said he knew "nothing about it." This seemed strange, considering I was there for a fitting that had been booked in advance.
Paul then complained about online orders, blaming the system for being "blank." I found this highly unprofessional?it's not the customer?s problem if Halfords? systems aren?t working properly. When I suggested we check if the dashcam was in-store, he dismissively said it was "probably out the back."
When I mentioned the make and model of my vehicle, Paul seemed almost pleased to say he "probably won?t be able to fit it," despite not even inspecting the car. His attitude made it clear that he wasn?t interested in doing the job. Even when he reluctantly offered to take a look, I didn?t feel comfortable allowing him to work on my car due to his unprofessional behaviour and lack of care.
Ultimately, I had to leave without the dashcam being fitted, wasting an entire day off work. The staff who dealt with my concerns afterwards were polite, but the experience with Paul has put me off ever using Halfords again.
If you?re considering a dashcam fitting, I?d recommend looking elsewhere unless you want to deal with poor service and unprofessional behaviour.

Collecting a Child?s bike with stabilisers.
I had asked for the bike to be assembled and stabilisers added.
Upon collection I noticed the bike actually ?rocked? from side to side.
The person then adjusted the stabilisers so that, the rear wheel was off the floor.
He clearly hadn?t adjusted bike stabilisers before, as when I arrived home with the bike I noticed extra stabiliser wheel adjustment.
Halfords need to train staff to understand cycle assembly!

The poor lady who just had to change my headlights was so patient. Thank you so much. I drive a Vauxhall Meriva and getting to the lights is a royal nightmare. But she did it and now I have light again.
