The negative. Well I booked a table for 3 adults and one child. On the table were only 2 menu's and no child's menu which I had to ask for! I also had to ask for smaller cutlery for my child.
My Rump steak was medium when I asked for medium-rare, and it was very bland tasting. The garden peas were horrible. I asked for some mayo to be told they don't do it!
Positive. The classic burger was good as was the sea bass with very good portions.
We won't be returning.

Nice big car park. Tastefully furnished with quality furniture and I liked the carpet. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant and smartly presented. Obviously a happy workplace. Drink prices reasonable. Main meals have a light bite option which made them a few quid cheaper and still very filling for pensioners like ourselves. Steak and Ale pie delicious and vegetables (cabbage, carrots and peas) perfectly al dente. Chips were fine but would have been nicer if they had been prepared from scratch, blanched then finished off in hot oil. However, I appreciate that makes them more labour intensive and costs have to be kept down in these times. Not a criticism as they were decent quality frozen ones. Left there feeling satisfied and certainly not ripped off. Can't wait to try the Sunday lunch when we have guests stopping over.

Within the top 3 pubs I've visited.Excellent food good and great atmosphere. Staff pleasant to talk to and well informed.
Definitely need to book a table for Sunday lunch. Good menu and very reasonable prices. Especially try the lamb cooked to perfection.

Highly recommend this place for family get togethers , this is the second time now we have had 25 + adults and children?s meals here , we have phoned the menu through and all the food came out together and it was delicious well worth the money , and there is a fabulous play park / beer garden outside for the kids , and bonus yesterday a couple of horses with there riders , they let them sit and pet the horses the kids loved it . The staff are very polite and efficient and it?s a lovely place to spend time here . Will be going again and thank you to the staff

Didn?t realise this was a Greene King which was a bit annoying because there never seems to be any consistency across locations.
The food was nothing to shout about. The steak & ale pie wasn?t too bad but I don?t understand the decision to use tinned peas/veg rather than frozen. They tasted off, let the dish down, and probably only saves pennies per order.
The outside area is large with lots of grass, large play area, and gets lots of sun right up until sunset. Overall okay for drinks but I?d skip the food next time.

Absolutely gutted, wanted a nice country pub dinner and what we got was frozen fish, old peas, cheapest frozen chips. Never would eat here again or recommend it to anyone. Total waste of money
