I was genuinely surprised to see this place rated below 4 stars. While it?s not fancy or trendy, it delivers exactly what it promises: simple, honest food, decent prices, and friendly service. Sometimes that?s all you really need ? and they get it right.
We ordered a few things to try: a panini, fries, a slice of cake, coffeese. Everything arrived in about 10 minutes, which was quicker than expected considering the place was moderately busy. The food came warm, and while nothing was particularly gourmet or groundbreaking, it all tasted fine ? fresh, well-prepared, and satisfying. The fries were nicely crisped, the panini had a good amount of filling, and the cake was light and not overly sweet. Coffee was also decent ? hot and well-balanced.
What really stood out was the service. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, without being overbearing. We were greeted with a smile, our order was taken promptly, and everything was brought to the table without any confusion or delay. That kind of smooth and polite service makes a big difference, especially in casual eateries like this.
The atmosphere inside was simple but clean, and there was enough space between tables to feel comfortable. It felt like the kind of place that gets regulars ? people who appreciate a calm, unpretentious spot to grab a bite or coffee break. It may not be Instagram-worthy, but it?s definitely functional and reliable.
Overall, I?d say this place deserves more recognition. If you?re after something quick, warm, and easy without any fuss, it?s a solid choice. I?d happily return when I?m in the area again.

I visit the park most days with my dogs and use the cafe at weekends for drinks and breakfast cobs. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food and drinks always good quality and well cooked. It's a great place to sit either inside or out with everything well maintained. Many people are regulars which says a lot. Don't change a thing - it is all great!

serving food hot drinks etc with good friendly service and fair prices. Good parking on week day but limited at the weekend. Costs 2 pounds all day but only one machine per car park and their slow so can be a quee

The staff are rude and it's very overpriced, if you're going for a walk here bring your own snacks and beverages.

It is a nice cafe with convenient parking and a great view of the country park. The food was tasty, however, when it arrived it was only hot on the outside and remained cold on the inside which was disappointing. The quality of the food wasn?t the greatest however, I had a good iced latte and it was still a nice cafe nonetheless.

We love walking around the country park and finishing off in the coffee shop.
The staff are very friendly polite and professional we have never had a poor experience within the coffee shop. Food has been lovely and staff are great.Highly recommended.

Terribly rude staff..Shouting loudly at each other and customers and getting stressed unnecessarily...Customer spilt coffee..Lady serving told customer to clean it up themselves because they were too busy.....My latte was stone cold too..Perhaps take a flask and a picnic to Gedling Country Park instead of visiting this cafe.
