Hope to pop in for a bite to eat on the hoof but sadly we couldnt be squeeze in. Clearly a very popular spot so book in advance. Nonetheless had a couple of drinks and the owner was very welcoming and the locals chatty. Nice decor and atmosphere. Looking forward to eating there

In the small village of Elston, tucked away in the Nottinghamshire countryside, lies The Chequers Inn; a traditional country pub at the heart of the village – in more ways than one.
With its relaxed style and cosy corners, the 19th Century coaching inn has been a part of village life since 1840. Friendly and relaxed, we’re open Wednesday-Friday from 3pm-close and Saturday and Sunday 12pm-close. Serving a range of classic beverages, wines and spirits alongside an extensive selection of gins and tempting bar and restaurant menus.
