My young grandson and I visited for a drink to cool us down where we could sit outside.
It was the middle of the afternoon so pub was virtually empty. This is only reason for lowish score for atmosphere. To be honest, I was glad it was quite empty as it was an extremely hot day and would have been uncomfortable in a crowded place.
Staff were very friendly and opened up doors to outside seating just for us.
As I was driving I had a non-alcoholic cider and my grandson had a cola, so they made very little money from us, yet we were still treated as a valued customer.

Checked the website before going to the crusader, website says food served until 9pm, we were travelling through the area and were hungry so pulled in at 7pm only to be told they had already closed the kitchen so food was not available, we decided to leave without purchasing anything and to try and find somewhere else in the area that was serving food as per their advertised website

Stopped off here for food on a long journey. Decent prices for good sized portions of tasty food and good service.

Disappointed that it has taken a drop in the past few years since I last visited. People hanging out smoking cannabis close to the entrance in the late afternoon (approx 415pm). Food scraps on the floor of one of the booths. Tables wiped but not degreased. Such a pity.
Vegetarian options: Veggie options limited but the lite-bites are good.
Wheelchair accessibility: Completely mobility impaired accessible.

I don't go in very often but when I do it's usually for a meal. The food is great and the people that work there are fantastic
