Gone downhill. Last time we got dinner there we paid for a sausage for our dog, wasn?t in our bag when we got home. We?re 15 mins drive away. This time the sausage was there but my steak pie was freezing cold like it came straight out the fridge!!

Ordered home made Beef stew and chips disappointed with the alleged stew not one piece of vegetable in it doesn't stew have veg in ? So basically it was beef in gravy

I always enjoy eating here but today was terrible ,I had fish and chips and the fish was so dry I could not eat it and the chips was dry also, my wife's food was good and my sons but mine was not good at all ,as a chef myself I knew that this fish was sitting for a while that's why it was dry , not good today .

Awful place. I was waiting to be served when a man walked in, straight up to the counter and ordered halloumi and scampi. The order was taken and he wasn't told there were other people waiting. Fair to say I walked out and won't be back again.

Ordered a pie and it was so dry and had no filling, was either left over from lunchtime or even reheated from yesterday, it's gone straight in the bin, everything else average but cold when arrived. Very disappointing as always use this place but the last couple of times has been bad for the price. Its a shame but won't be ordering again

The Plaice is such a little gem to have on our door step. The food is always tasty and hot, the staff are super friendly and it?s great value for money. My husband works away and one his first requests when he gets home is a visit to ?The Plaice?.

Been using this chippy every week since moving into the area in 2017. Food is always fresh and hot. The staff are great and are always polite even when the shop has been full and it?s 30 degrees outside.

I have just had a portion of chips.
£3.80 . Friday 9th August 3.10 pm
I took home my chips less than half a mile
They were old and cold.
Not good chips at all .
3/4 were bits.
Totally unacceptable.
I have been going to this chip shop for around 63 years.
The worst chips I have ever had.

I have been going to this place for quite a few years, on at least every other occasion they give me the wrong food, I always thought that might be a mistake - however I feel like the staff do not want to to serve an Asian customer - therefore I do not recommend it to anyone from an Asian background.

One of, if not the best chip shop in the area.Always good service and the food is very nice and well cooked.Very good value for money also.
