Dog friendly, really great food and lovely staff who make you feel very welcome with really good service. Saw this place and decided to give it a try, so glad we did - will 100% be returning!

4 of us enjoyed a lovely evening here. Starters and main course were spot on. My vegetarian partner who is very picky really enjoyed both of her dishes. We will definitely be returning.

Staying in Blyth for New Year we wanted to find a dog friendly pub to eat on New Years Eve Eve. We couldn?t have wished for a better place to dine and spend our evening. Sam who runs the pub is the most amazing host. So friendly and welcoming, she?s the heartbeat of the pub and makes you feel at home. I can?t recommend The Red Hart highly enough. Great food, great location, dog friendly and just the best host you could wish for. Thank you Sam.

Lovely pub in the centre of the village. We had chicken and mushroom pie with mash and mushy peas and an all day breakfast. Served lovely and hot - can't fault it! Well be back ?

we arrived 1:30pn on saturday for late lunch. the place was almost empty. we orderd small fish and chips, burger, steak pie and mixed grill. the meals were tasty. fishes were fresh and the burger was juicy. there was plenty meat in steak pie. the mixed grill was good. one small thing that needed to be improved, was the chips that needed to be crispy.

Picked from the CAMRA guide as a stop for food and beer travelling north on the A1.. The pub is a short hop from the main road. Very easy to find. The Hart is a welcoming and unpretentious local with a good car park. 3 real ales on offer to accompany food from an extensive menu. We chose the 'hot' burger and sea food linguine. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and the portions hearty. Great value for money. The beer quality was outstanding and the wine reasonably priced. What a good choice! We went on our way replete and very happy.

A friend recommended The Red Hart, as I needed a place for lunch midway between our home and those we were meeting. This was absolutely perfect. 2 minutes off the A1 and easy to park. Being a Sunday, there were 3 roast options plus the full usual menu and Specials. I had the Lambs Liver & Bacon sauté, which was delicious. Two of our party chose Lasagne, one a burger and one the Roast beef. All were extremely good, very generous portions and with plenty of accompaniments. Sadly, we had no room to try desserts! Although a very hot day, presumably because it?s an old, solid building it was cool and comfortable inside and we were happy with our table. There seem to be several eating areas, so we never felt cramped. There?s a decent beer garden outside too. The staff were friendly. We highly recommend The Red Hart and will certainly return.
