Lovely old school truckers cafe,brilliant staff very friendly nice and clean, negative side we had breakfast served from the hot plate which means stone cold they should cook it fresh if you are not having the buffet breakfast, price wise ok it's always busy,went for a second visit takeaway breakfast cob very nice but again taken from the hot plate which means it's luke warm, first visit 3 out of ten second visit no egg but nice cob 8 out of ten.

Great little cafe. Everything from Sunday roast to Breakfast.
Breakfast buffet is good. Nice coffee. Clean. Great staff.

Plenty of parking, a small menu of a few things done well, reasonable price, clean and pleasant, friendly staff serving, picnic area and toilets. Could not have asked for better for a stop off with 2 kids

I never leave reviews on places but I?ve seen some negative ones on here that I absolutely don?t agree with?
I come here pretty much daily for my lunch break and cannot fault it at all, the food?s always really nice, perfectly portioned, and very cheap. There?s a good variety on the menu too, the buffet breakfast, full house omelette and cottage pie are definitely my personal favourites though.
It?s a very cozy and quiet place and everyone?s really friendly, giving it a nice charming vibe. The staff are always respectful to customers too, so whether it?s Paige and Jen or Mike and Esme behind the till, you?re bound to be served with a smile!
I can?t recommend this place enough, feel like I?ve found a rare gem on the A614!

6/7/2025 I woke very early and thought 'Breakast!'. I arrived about 1 min after opening (7am). Only a couple of blokes before me. I thought Id try the breakfast buffet and bog-standard coffee (£12). I had no issue with the coffee BUT the breakfast looked old even though they had only just opened?? It was all 'Quite Horrible' actually, although being somewhat of a pig, i did go back for more (paid for Buffet!!). The fork was dirty and asked the disinterest plump woman to exchange it, which she did with total disregard. The window bar/table was stained & grubby, and my plate and mug stuck to it!, which surprised me as it had just opened and had no previous customers that morning!! (plus a dead fly on the window-sill infront of me).

I have been a few times since my earlier post below. The breakfast was nasty on that occaision too! BUT, the lunches/dinners have been great :)
5/11/2019 visited today, not impressed, I suppose ?all good things must come to an end?.
Previous post: Always enjoy a visit to limes cafe. Quality items and big portions and reasonably priced. I prefer quiet times. Can get busy as it?s very popular. Recently refurbished and has plenty of parking. Well mannered staff and a clean restaurant. I?m hungry now, wanna go back :)
