Love this pub. The architecture, the style, the general feeling that an atmosphere and look from years ago visually has been beautifully preserved. I could never recall having poor service here or anybody staff wise being rude to me. We visited today for Sunday lunch and the food was delicious. I don?t think I?ve had a bad meal in probably nearly 20 years of going to the pub. If I could give six stars, I would.

What a shame, once a great pub for real ale and good food, our experience this week was disappointing. Some of the staff were rude (not all),the beer was average and the food was very basic and disappointing. A real shame as we would travel to this place for a great experience, sadly after our experience we won?t bother.

Went to a wake, all done by the Victoria I believe. Good enough for a send off.
Been to the Victoria before and my wife and I think the place is great.

We visit the Victoria multiple times in the year, Vic Feast, and many other seasonal occasions - we also dine there on occasions with friends. The pub is second to none, the drinks choice is extensive, and the food is exceptional. However, sadly, we visited yesterday to dine, booked a table early in the week, and again no booking existed. I know mistakes happen, but this is the third time - last time we were shunted into a corner was on Burns Night, when again our booking did not exist! Just wondering what is going wrong!

Disappointed ? my partner and his mother rated it but hadn't been in a while, well 3 veggie sausage, mash & peas & carrots with watery gravy without an onion in sight dispute it saying onion gravy. Bakewell tart bland with cheap bland custard. Irish trifle wasn't the best either. Also the staff we're quite rude and looked fed up to be honest. Busy tables packed in and very noisy.
Parking: Park on the street, there are limited spaces but being disabled we managed to get one in the pub grounds.

I keep forgetting to do this, the food is lovely, like it's orgasmic, it's pricey but worth every penny, the staff are amazing and deserve pay rises and their range of food and drink will leave you spoilt for choice

Fabulous pub with lovely staff and amazing food. Can recommend the Jamaican brown stew chicken - delicious. Food is good value for money and atmosphere on a Friday night was buzzing. Whole experience enhanced by the fact that it's a totally dog friendly establishment. We'd left our girl at home but there were some lovely doggos knocking around ??
